Which hand do I wear a golf glove on?

Wear it on your lead hand – the one at the top of the grip. For a right-handed golfer that's the left hand; for a left-handed golfer, the right. Some golfers wear a pair, especially in rain or cold weather, which is why many rain and winter gloves are sold in pairs.

What is a cadet golf glove?

Cadet sizes have shorter fingers and a slightly wider palm than regular sizes with the same letter. If regular gloves leave loose material at the fingertips while the palm feels right, try the cadet equivalent. Cadet fits come in sizes such as Small, Medium, Medium/Large and Large for both hands.

Should I choose a leather or synthetic golf glove?

Cabretta leather gives the thinnest, most tactile feel and a soft grip, but it wears faster and needs care when wet. Synthetic and hybrid gloves last longer, cope better with sweat and wash more easily, with a little less feel. Many golfers keep a leather glove for dry rounds and a synthetic or rain glove for wet ones.

How do rain golf gloves work?

Rain gloves use fabrics that become tackier as they get wet, so your grip improves in a downpour instead of slipping. They're usually sold in pairs and worn on both hands. Keep a pair in your bag for when the weather turns, and swap back to your normal glove once conditions dry out.
