Pick capacity by the length of your day. A 15–20 litre pack carries a waterproof, water and lunch for a low-level walk or city break. For a full day in the hills, with a spare warm layer, hat, gloves, map and first-aid kit, a 25–35 litre pack is easier to pack sensibly, and a hip belt takes weight off the shoulders. Water-resistant fabric copes with showers, but zips and seams let water in during sustained rain, so use the rain cover or a dry bag inside. Sling bags keep a phone, keys and wallet in front of you in crowds.

What size Skysper backpack do I need for day hiking?

For most UK summer day walks, 20 litres is enough. In spring, autumn and winter, or on higher ground where you carry spare layers, a 25 or 35-litre pack gives more room without overfilling. The 35-litre models add a padded hip belt and a rain cover, which help on longer days.

Are Skysper backpacks waterproof?

They are water-resistant, made from coated fabric that sheds light rain and spray. In steady rain, water can work through zips and seams, so use the included rain cover where supplied and pack spare clothes and electronics in a dry bag or liner. A daypack without welded seams should not be relied on to stay completely dry.

Can I fit a hydration bladder in a Skysper pack?

Several Skysper hiking backpacks, including 15-litre and 35-litre models, have an internal hydration sleeve and a port for the drinking tube. Check the product description for the sleeve on the model you choose and compare the reservoir with the pack size; a 2-litre bladder is a common fit for daypacks of this size.

What is an RFID-blocking pocket?

It is a pocket lined with material that blocks radio signals, designed to stop contactless cards and passports being read through the bag. Skysper uses it on its sling bags and foldable travel daypacks, alongside hidden or back-panel zip pockets that make pickpocketing harder in busy stations and city streets.
