Aegis Interceptor Bibless Hockey Neck Guard L/XL — D3O Impact Insert, Cut-Resistant Low-Profile Protector

The Aegis Interceptor (Bibless) is a slim, breathable hockey neck protector that uses an exclusive D3O impact insert to reduce shock while staying lightweight and cut-resistant.

Engineered for skaters who want strong neck protection without bulk, the Interceptor combines a low-profile Nylon-Spandex shell with a D3O impact panel built into the collar. It resists cuts and slashes, breathes on the ice, and fastens with an adjustable Velcro closure that allows about 2 inches (5 cm) of fit adjustment. The bibless design keeps the protector minimal under jerseys while still prioritizing coverage where it matters most.

How does the Interceptor protect against impacts and slashes?

The Interceptor blends energy-absorbing D3O material with a cut-resistant outer layer to deliver dual protection: shock dispersion from impacts and a tough barrier against skate blades. It’s designed to absorb and spread force while resisting penetration or tearing from sharp contact.

• Exclusive D3O insert for energy absorption and impact reduction
• Cut- and slash-resistant outer fabric to lower laceration risk
• Low-profile shape that maintains coverage without restricting movement

Will it stay comfortable during full-shift play?

The stretch Nylon-Spandex construction keeps the guard snug yet breathable, reducing heat and sweat buildup. Its streamlined bibless fit sits close to the neck so players can turn and skate freely without chafing or excessive bulk under the jersey.

• Lightweight fabric for extended wear comfort
• Breathable materials to help wick moisture on the ice
• Form-fitting design that won’t impede head or shoulder movement

How do I get the right fit and adjust the Interceptor?

The Interceptor uses a Velcro fastening system that lets you fine-tune the circumference by roughly 2 inches (5 cm), so it can adapt across body shapes and layering. The L/XL size provides a roomy yet secure fit for many adult players; measure around the lower neck to confirm placement before purchase.

• Adjustable Velcro closure with approximately 2" (5 cm) variance
• Available in L/XL for larger neck circumferences and layered use
• Snug, bibless profile to fit under jerseys comfortably

How do I care for and maintain the neck guard?

To preserve the D3O insert and fabric, follow gentle cleaning methods and avoid high-heat drying. Air-dry after wiping or spot-washing, and inspect regularly for cuts or damage that could reduce protection.

• Spot clean or hand wash with mild detergent
• Air dry away from direct heat sources
• Check seams and D3O panel periodically for wear

Who is this for? The Aegis Interceptor (Bibless) suits hockey players who want a discreet, performance-focused neck protector that balances impact absorption with slash resistance. It’s ideal for adult skaters seeking L/XL fit, minimal interference with shoulder pads and jerseys, and an easy-to-adjust closure for quick on-ice changes. If you prioritize low-profile comfort but won’t compromise on safety-enhancing materials like D3O, the Interceptor offers a practical blend of protection and wearability.
