AIRHEAD Infant General Purpose Life Vest - Red, USCG Type II 6.8–13.6 kg, Headrest & Crotch Strap

This infant life jacket combines a durable 200-denier polyester shell with lightweight Poly-E flotation to deliver dependable buoyancy and long-lasting wear. Built to US Coast Guard sizing and approval for Type II usage, the jacket is engineered with a closed-sided fit, headrest support, three secure buckles and a crotch strap to reduce slippage. Bright colors make it easy for family members to spot little ones on the water while an integrated lift handle helps a grown-up assist or recover a child quickly.

How does this vest keep an infant secure in the water?

The vest uses a closed-sided design with multiple retention points so the flotation stays positioned around the torso and under the chin. A cushioned headrest supports the infant’s head to help keep the airway clear. The three side buckles and a crotch strap minimize upward movement and accidental removal during active use.

• Closed-sided shell prevents flotation from shifting away from the body
• Three adjustable buckles for snug, customizable fit
• Crotch strap reduces ride-up and improves stability
• Padded headrest helps keep the face angled out of the water

What materials and construction make this life vest durable?

The outer shell is made from 200-denier polyester, chosen for abrasion resistance and easy cleaning so it stands up to repeated family use. Inside, a lightweight Poly-E foam core provides reliable buoyancy while staying comfortable for infants to wear. Reinforced stitching and sturdy hardware are used at fastening points to withstand frequent clipping and unclipping.

• 200-denier polyester shell resists UV fading and staining
• Poly-E flotation delivers consistent buoyant performance
• Heavy-duty buckles and straps for repeated wear
• Lift handle built into the back for quick caregiver assistance

Which sizes and colors are available and how do I choose?

This jacket is sized to USCG infant standards and is intended for babies weighing between 15 and 30 pounds. Airhead offers family-matching options across child, youth, adult universal, and adult oversized sizes so everyone can wear a coordinated color on the water. Choose the infant size if your child falls within the specified weight range and always confirm a snug, secure fit before use.

• Infant sizing follows USCG 15–30 lb guideline
