All-Star Youth Catcher's Padded Inner Glove — Right Hand Large, Goatskin Palm & Targeted Padding

All-Star's Youth Catcher's Protective Padded Inner Glove (Right, Large) is a lightweight inner glove with targeted padding for the palm and fingers that reduces sting and enhances comfort while catching.

This inner glove is made for young catchers who need extra protection inside their mitt without sacrificing feel. It pairs with a catcher's glove, adding cushioning where most impacts occur — the upper palm, index and middle fingers — while maintaining a slim profile so ball transfer and control remain natural. Constructed with a white goatskin leather palm for durable, tactile contact and a seamless, stretch back that wicks moisture, the glove balances protection, breathability, and fit. It is sold individually and designed to be worn on the glove hand; choose the same size you wear in batting gloves.

How does this inner glove reduce sting from blocked balls?

The glove uses strategically placed pads across the upper palm and the index and middle finger knuckles to absorb and spread impact energy. Instead of a single thick pad that can bulk up the hand, these targeted cushions diffuse shock where catchers feel it most, minimizing sharp jarring on contact.

• Upper palm pad disperses force over a wider surface.
• Indexed and middle finger protection reduces direct impact to nerve-sensitive areas.
• Lightweight padding keeps hand mobility for quick ball transfers.

Will the glove affect grip or transfer when working in the mitt?

No — the palm is built from white goatskin leather, which preserves natural feel and tack against the glove's leather. The padding is confined to key zones so the central palm and finger flex points remain responsive, helping maintain smooth catches and quick ball release.

• Goatskin palm offers tactile feedback and durability.
• Pads are narrow and low-profile to avoid reduced dexterity.
• Designed specifically for the glove hand to complement, not replace, the mitt.

How does the seamless back help during long games or practices?

The glove's back is made from a stretch fabric that wicks moisture away from skin and moves with the hand, preventing bunching and hotspots. Because it is seamless, there are fewer friction points against the skin, which improves comfort during extended innings or catching sessions.

• Seamless stretch back reduces chafing and irritation.
• Moisture-wicking material keeps the hand drier between plays.
• Flexible construction preserves natural wrist and finger motion.

How should I choose the right size and wear this product?

Order the same size you use for batting gloves to ensure a snug, secure fit inside the catcher’s mitt. The product is sold as an individual glove, so buy a left- or right-hand version according to which hand you wear it on; this listing is for a right-hand glove in large youth sizing.

• Match to your batting glove size for consistent fit.
• Designed to be worn on the glove hand, under the mitt.
• Sold individually — purchase one per glove hand as needed.

Who is this for: Youth catchers who want extra, targeted protection without losing feel are the primary audience. It’s ideal for players who frequently block pitches and need shock dispersion to improve comfort, as well as coaches or parents looking for a lightweight, breathable inner glove that fits inside standard catcher’s mitts. Because it’s sold individually and sized like batting gloves, it’s also a convenient upgrade for teams and players who want a specific hand-protection solution rather than a full, bulky insert.
