ALPS Mountaineering Weekender Seat - Golden portable foam stadium & canoe seat with adjustable straps

The ALPS Mountaineering Weekender Seat is a lightweight, half-inch closed-cell foam seat with adjustable webbing that secures to bleachers, canoe seats, or the ground for portable back support and insulation.

Take a comfortable seat anywhere — at a game, on a raft, or around a campsite — without hauling a full chair. The Weekender combines a slim, packable profile with a cushioned foam pad and wraparound webbing to keep you stable on hard or cold surfaces. A rear mesh pocket adds simple storage for small items so essentials stay close at hand.

How does the Weekender improve comfort on hard bleachers?

The .5" closed-cell foam eases pressure from firm bleachers and provides a barrier against cold metal or concrete. Adjustable straps let you create slight recline or firmer support so you can relax longer without shifting.

• Half-inch closed-cell foam cushions and insulates.
• Bottom webbing wraps around bench slats to prevent sliding.
• Adjustable top straps change back angle and tension.
• Lightweight design for easy carried relief between venues.

Can I use this seat for water or canoe trips?

Yes — the webbing straps secure the seat to canoe seats and other narrow platforms, keeping you steady while paddling. The foam is water-resistant and sheds moisture, making it suited for lakeside activities and wet conditions.

• Wrap-around bottom straps attach to canoe benches.
• Water-resistant closed-cell foam resists soaking.
• Low-profile, so it won’t interfere with paddling posture.
• Mesh pocket stores small gear like keys or snacks while afloat.

How portable is the Weekender for travel and packing?

At roughly 21 ounces, the Weekender is light enough to toss in a daypack or drape over your shoulder using the webbing handles. Its slim form packs flat, so it occupies minimal space in luggage, backpacks, or vehicle trunks.

• Weighs about 21 ounces for easy carrying.
• Webbing handles let you sling it like a small pack.
• Flat, slim profile fits in backpacks or under seats.
• Durable fabric stands up to frequent travel and use.

What useful extras does the Weekender include?

The seat includes a large mesh pocket on the back to keep snacks, cameras, phones, or small accessories organized and within reach. The straightforward construction minimizes bulk while providing practical features for day trips and events.

• Spacious rear mesh pocket for quick-access storage.
• Simple, robust stitching for long-lasting use.
• Neutral golden color that blends with outdoor gear.
• Easily cleaned surface for low-maintenance care.

Who is this for? The ALPS Mountaineering Weekender Seat suits anyone who needs portable, no-fuss seating: sports fans who endure cold or hard bleachers, paddlers who want a stable seat on the water, campers who prefer insulation from damp ground, and travelers who value compact comfort. If you want more support than bare benches or ground seating without the weight of a full folding chair, the Weekender is a practical, packable choice that keeps essentials at hand.
