Amazon Basics Folding Camping Cot — Twin 81.5 x 30.4 in, Steel Frame, 159 kg Capacity, Portable with Carry Bag

The Amazon Basics Folding Camping Cot is a twin-size, steel-framed portable bed that supports up to 350 lb and sets up tool-free for camping, travel, or guest use.

This lightweight cot combines a sturdy reinforced steel frame with a roomy 81.5 x 30.4-inch sleeping surface, offering an elevated, stable place to sleep away from the ground. It folds down to a compact package that fits inside the included carry bag, so you can transport it in a car trunk, store it in a closet, or bring it along on outdoor trips. The design balances durability and convenience without extra tools or complicated assembly.

How quickly can I set this cot up when I arrive at camp?

Assembly is designed to be fast and instinctive: unfold the frame, engage the locking mechanism, and the cot is ready to use. There are no screws, bolts, or tools required, which makes it useful for late arrivals or changing weather.

• Tool-free folding frame unfolds and locks in seconds
• Simple locking bars secure the structure without hardware
• Non-slip feet stabilize the cot on dirt, grass, and hard floors

Will the size and weight capacity suit most adults?

The cot offers a generous twin-size sleeping area and a robust steel frame rated to 350 pounds, accommodating a wide range of body types and sleeping positions. Its elevated platform also keeps you off cold or uneven ground, improving comfort compared with sleeping directly on the ground.

• Sleeping surface: 81.5 x 30.4 inches for ample room
• Load rating: supports up to 350 lb on a reinforced frame
• Raised profile reduces exposure to cold, damp, and uneven terrain

How portable is the cot for travel and storage?

Portability was built into the design: the cot folds down compactly and drops into a supplied carry bag for effortless transport and storage. Lightweight construction keeps overall weight manageable while maintaining frame strength, so it’s easy to move between campsite, car, and home.

• Folds compactly to fit most car trunks and closets
• Included carry bag gives protected, organized transport
• Light enough for one person to carry and set up solo

What features improve stability and durability on varied surfaces?

The frame uses reinforced steel and stability bars to resist twisting and sagging during use, and the feet are designed to grip soft and hard ground alike. These elements work together so the cot remains steady whether inside a tent, on a campsite, or in a spare room.

• Reinforced steel frame with crossbars for structural strength
• Locking mechanism prevents accidental collapse during use
• Non-slip feet help maintain position on wood, concrete, and soil

Who is this for? The Amazon Basics Folding Camping Cot is aimed at campers who want a quick, durable sleeping platform; travelers who need a compact spare bed; and homeowners seeking an easy extra-bed option for guests. It’s a practical choice for anyone who prioritizes a balance of sturdiness, ease of setup, and portability without specialty tools or complex assembly.
