Black Mountain Products V Bar Double-Grip Cable Handle — Chrome with Rubber Grips, Solid-Steel Universal Eye

The Black Mountain Products BMP Professional V Bar is a heavy-duty double-grip cable attachment designed for seated rows and other back, shoulder, and arm exercises.

This solid-steel V bar offers a compact, user-friendly way to add horizontal pulling variations to any cable machine or Smith machine setup. Finished in chrome with molded rubber grips, the attachment brings commercial-style durability and a secure hold to home gyms while maintaining a sleek, easy-to-clean surface. A light protective coating prevents rust during storage and transit; it may be wiped off if you prefer direct metal-to-grip contact.

How does the V bar improve my row and pulling workouts?

The angled double-grip design promotes a neutral wrist position and symmetrical arm engagement, making it practical for focused mid-back and lat work. Using both handles at once encourages balanced force through each side of your body and can reduce strain compared with single-handle rows.

• Encourages even bilateral pulling to target lats and rhomboids.
• Neutral grip reduces wrist rotation and helps maintain form.
• Short, compact profile lets you use it in tight cable stacks or home setups.

Will this V bar fit my cable machine or Smith machine?

The BMP V bar features a universal attachment eye designed to work with standard carabiners and cable machine hooks, so it pairs easily with most commercial and consumer rigs. It’s compatible with seated row low pulleys, lat pulldown stations (for inverted/rows), and Smith machine hook setups that accept cable-style handles.

• Standard attachment eye fits common carabiners and clips.
• Works with cable stacks, functional trainers, and Smith machines.
• Compact size avoids interference with other accessories or plates.

What are the build and grip features of this handle?

Constructed from solid steel with a chrome finish, the V bar is built for repeated gym use and resists bending under heavy loads. Rubber-molded hand grips improve traction and comfort, while the chrome surface wipes clean and resists corrosion; a thin protectant coating is applied at the factory and can be removed if it feels slick.

• Solid-steel core for commercial-grade strength and longevity.
• Chrome plating for easy maintenance and rust resistance.
• Rubber grips for secure hold and reduced hand fatigue.

How should I use the V bar safely and effectively?

Use controlled movements and focus on full range of motion—pull to your torso with a steady pace and avoid jerking. Pair it with moderate weight while dialing in form and increase load gradually. Make sure carabiners and cable attachments are rated for the load you intend to use.

• Start with lighter weight to confirm range of motion and grip comfort.
• Keep shoulders down and chest lifted during seated rows to engage the back.
• Inspect clips and cables regularly for wear and proper seating.

Who is this for? The Black Mountain Products BMP V Bar is suited for home gym owners, personal trainers, and commercial facilities looking for a compact, durable cable handle for horizontal pulling moves. It’s ideal for lifters who want a reliable double-grip option for seated rows, inverted rows, and similar exercises without taking up extra space or requiring a dedicated machine attachment.
