Camoo TSP-1 & TSP-2DP are paired cast-aluminum transom support plates designed to reinforce the top and lower outboard mounting bolt holes, spreading load and protecting your boat's transom.
These two precision-machined plates — a 15" x 2" TSP-1 for top bolt holes and a 12" x 2" TSP-2DP for lower bolt holes — attach behind standard outboard mounting points used by major manufacturers such as Mercury, Evinrude, Johnson, and Yamaha. Built from durable cast aluminum and CNC-finished, they distribute the stress from modern heavier 4-stroke outboards across a wider surface, reducing point-loads on the hull and extending the useful life of the transom when installed correctly.
By increasing the bearing area behind each bolt pattern, the TSP-1 and TSP-2DP lower the pressure exerted at the bolt holes. That reduces localized compression and flexing in the wood or composite transom core, helping to prevent cracks, crushed fiber, and water intrusion around fasteners.
The kit contains two support plates sized for the standard top and lower bolt holes of most outboards: TSP-1 measures 15" x 2" and TSP-2DP measures 12" x 2" with a 10" hole spacing for the lower plate. These dimensions match common universal mounting patterns so installation is straightforward on compatible motors.
Camoo manufactures both plates from high-quality cast aluminum chosen for its corrosion resistance and strength-to-weight ratio. CNC machining provides precise hole placement and a flat mating surface that reduces stress concentrations and eases installation.
Installation is a simple retrofit behind the transom where the outboard bolt holes align. Use correct through-bolts, lock washers, and marine-grade sealant; torque bolts to the engine manufacturer's specifications to avoid over-compression of the transom or plates.
Who this is for: boat owners upgrading or maintaining outboard mounts on small-to-medium craft who want an economical, durable way to reduce transom wear from heavy modern 4-stroke engines. It’s suited to DIYers and professional marine technicians alike who need reliable, CNC-accurate reinforcement plates compatible with major outboard brands.
Q: Will these plates fit my Mercury or Yamaha outboard?
A: Yes — the plates match the universal outboard mounting patterns used by Mercury, Yamaha, Evinrude, and Johnson.
Q: Can I install the plates myself?
A: Yes — they’re designed for bolt-through installation, using marine sealant and proper torque; professional installation is optional.
