Coleman North Rim -18 °C Sleeping Bag — Mummy Cold-Weather Bag for Adults up to 6'2", Coletherm Insulation

The Coleman North Rim 0°F Sleeping Bag is a cold-weather mummy-style sleep sack built to keep most adults warm and comfortable down to 0°F while fitting campers up to 6 ft. 2 in.

Designed for three-season and winter-adjacent camping, this full-length mummy bag combines a ripstop polyester shell, soft polyester lining, and Coletherm hollow-fiber insulation to balance warmth, packability, and durability. Thoughtful features such as an adjustable hood, a full-length draft tube behind the zipper, and a box-shaped foot for extra wiggle room address common cold-weather pain points, while machine-washable construction and an included stuff sack make care and transport simple.

How does this bag keep you warm in near-freezing conditions?

The North Rim uses Coletherm hollow polyester insulation and a quilted construction to trap body heat without excessive bulk. Critical seams are minimized and a full-length draft tube blocks heat loss along the zipper, while the adjustable hood seals in warmth around your head.

• Coletherm hollow-fiber insulation for efficient heat retention
• Quilted construction to reduce cold spots
• Full-length draft tube behind zipper to prevent heat escape
• Adjustable hood for insulated head coverage

Will it fit taller campers and still allow movement?

Yes — the bag measures 82 x 32 inches and is sized to fit people up to 6 ft. 2 in., offering a slightly roomier box-shaped foot area compared with strict tapered mummy bags. That extra foot space helps you change sleeping positions without sacrificing the thermal efficiency of the mummy shape at the torso and shoulders.

• Dimensions: 82 x 32 inches for taller users
• Box-shaped foot provides toe wiggle room
• Mummy hood and torso taper maintain warmth where it matters

How easy is it to pack, clean, and use at the campsite?

The Coleman North Rim stuffs into the included carry sack for transport and is machine washable for straightforward cleanup after a weekend trip. Practical design touches — a no-snag zipper and adjustable hood — make setup and overnight comfort intuitive even in cold conditions.

• Includes a stuff sack for compact transport
• No-snag zipper reduces fumbling and fabric damage
• Machine washable for easy cleaning between trips
• Drawstring hood adjusts quickly for ventilation or warmth

What warranty and durability features protect this purchase?

Coleman backs the North Rim with a 5-year limited warranty and uses a polyester ripstop shell to resist tears and abrasion on trails and campsites. Quilting and robust stitching work together to maintain consistent insulation performance through repeated use.

• 5-year limited warranty for manufacturing protection
• Ripstop polyester shell increases durability
• Quilted interior prevents insulation migration and cold spots

Who is this for: The Coleman North Rim 0°F sleeping bag is aimed at campers who need reliable warmth at or near freezing, especially taller adults who want a roomier foot box than a traditional mummy bag offers. It’s a pragmatic choice for car campers, weekend backpackers who accept moderate pack size, and anyone who values easy care and rugged materials for repeated outdoor use.
