COOLOMG Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet, Youth to Adult Sizes S–L, Lightweight EVA Foam Protection

COOLOMG Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet is a lightweight, foam-padded soft helmet designed to reduce impact and protect heads during flag football, rugby-style scrums, and other contact or fast-paced sports.

Built from breathable Lycra and polyester with abrasion-resistant EVA foam padding, this soft helmet (scrum cap) balances comfort and protective cushioning without the weight or bulk of hard-shell helmets. It’s available in three sizes and includes adjustable chinstrap and rear lacing so players from kids to adults can get a secure, low-profile fit that keeps the ear area protected while preserving communication and peripheral awareness.

How does the COOLOMG soft helmet protect players without a hard shell?

The helmet uses multiple layers of EVA foam and a Lycra/polyester shell to absorb and disperse impact energy while remaining flexible. Because it’s soft and lightweight, it reduces the chance of rotational forces associated with heavier helmets and keeps wear-time comfortable for long practices.

• Closed-cell EVA foam resists abrasion and sheds dirt for long-term performance.
• Breathable Lycra/polyester outer fabric keeps the head cooler than thicker materials.
• Low-profile design protects skull surfaces and 3D ear pads guard ears without blocking sound.

What fit and sizing features ensure the helmet stays secure?

COOLOMG includes an adjustable chinstrap and elastic rear lacing so users can fine-tune tension and position. Follow the forehead measurement guide to choose S, M, or L, and then use the straps and laces to tighten for activities like 7v7 flag football or rugby drills.

• Chin fastener is simple to snap on/off for quick transitions.
• Rear elastic lacing adapts to head shape for a snug fit without pressure points.
• Size chart: S 17.5"–19" (45–48cm); M 19"–21" (48–53.5cm); L 21"–23.5" (53.5–60cm).

Which sports and use-cases is this soft helmet suited for?

This scrum cap is made for non-tackle and limited-contact sports where head protection and player visibility are priorities. It’s commonly used in flag football, 7v7, rugby training, lacrosse sideline drills, roller sports, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training sessions that call for lighter head protection.

• Flag football and 7v7 play: protects against incidental collisions and turf abrasions.
• Rugby and scrimmage training: suitable for contact drills where full hard-shells aren’t required.
• Skateboarding/roller sports: useful for cushioning against scrapes and minor knocks.

How do you clean and maintain the helmet for long life?

Because the outer fabrics are breathable Lycra and polyester and the foam resists dirt, cleaning is straightforward. Spot-clean with mild soap and water or gently hand-wash and air dry; avoid machine drying or harsh chemicals that can degrade the foam or elastic.

• Hand-wash in cool water with mild detergent; rinse thoroughly.
• Air dry away from direct heat and sunlight to preserve foam structure.
• Inspect straps and seams regularly and replace if elasticity or foam compression appears.

Who is this for: The COOLOMG Soft Shell Flag Football Helmet fits youth players learning contact awareness, adult recreational league athletes wanting low-profile padding, and coaches seeking a comfortable, durable scrum cap for drills or non-tackle play. Choose size S, M, or L based on forehead circumference for the best combination of comfort, protection, and communication on the field.
