DECOHS 16" x 6.1 m Boat Trailer Bunk Carpet — Marine-grade felt with PE backing for hull protection and non-slip support

DECOHS 16 Inch x 20 Ft Boat Trailer Bunk Carpet is a heavy-duty felt-and-PE bunk liner that protects your boat hull and trailer bunks during transport and storage.

This marine-grade bunk carpet lays flat across standard trailer bunk boards to cushion, prevent scratches, and add non-slip support while loading, hauling, or docking. Made with a felt upper layer for water absorption and a PE backing for grip and wear resistance, the carpet arrives as a single 16-inch wide, 20-foot long roll that can be trimmed to fit any bunk configuration. It’s designed to be easy to install with adhesive or staples (not included) and versatile enough for other garage or dock uses.

How does this bunk carpet protect my boat when trailering?

The felt surface creates a soft contact layer that reduces abrasion and distributes pressure along the hull where it touches the bunk. The PE underside helps hold the carpet in place so the boat doesn’t shift on the bunks during transport.

• Soft felt top absorbs moisture and cushions the hull.
• PE backing provides non-slip, wear-resistant support.
• Full 20 ft length covers long bunks or can be wrapped around ends.
• Trimmable to match any bunk shape or size for a snug fit.

Will it stay attached and how do I install it?

Installation is straightforward: unroll the carpet, align it along the bunk board, then secure it with marine adhesive or staples for a permanent fit. The textured PE backing resists sliding, but mechanical or adhesive fastening is recommended for towing and heavy use.

• Lay flat on the bunk board and trim excess with a utility knife.
• Use marine-grade glue or stainless staples for long-term attachment.
• Wrap carpet around bunk ends for extra hull protection.
• Allow adhesive to cure before returning the boat to the water.

Can this carpet handle wet conditions and repeated use?

Yes. The felt layer is designed to absorb surface moisture while resisting rot, and the PE backing resists wear from repeated loading and unloading. Combined, the materials provide durable performance for seasonal trailering and storage.

• Felt surface soaks up splash and helps prevent pooling.
• PE bottom repels water and resists abrasion from bunk boards.
• Constructed for repeated launches, landings, and transport cycles.
• Suitable for outdoor storage when the boat is on the trailer.

What other uses can I expect from a 16" x 20 ft roll?

Beyond bunk lining, the wide, long roll is handy for workshop, garage, or dock projects where a cushioned, grippy surface is required. It cuts easily to create pads, liners, or protective covers for equipment and furniture.

• Create custom-sized pads for jet ski ramps, dock edges, or shelving.
• Use scrap pieces as garage floor protection or anti-scratch mats.
• Fit small cutouts around fittings or hardware for extra cushioning.
• Repurpose leftovers for patio furniture protection or storage liners.

Who is this for: The DECOHS 16" x 20 ft boat trailer bunk carpet is ideal for boat owners, marina operators, and weekend anglers who want a simple, cost-effective way to reduce hull wear and secure their boat on the trailer. It’s also useful for DIYers and garage owners needing a durable protective layer for equipment, ramps, or storage surfaces. If you want a long-lasting, trimmable bunk liner that balances cushioning with grip, this carpet is suited to frequent trailering, seasonal storage, and multi-purpose workshop use.
