Giro Fixture MIPS II Youth Road Bike Helmet — Matte Black/Green, Universal 50-57cm, Integrated Mips & Roc Loc Fit

The Giro Fixture MIPS II is a lightweight, value-focused youth road helmet with integrated Mips protection, improved ventilation, and an easy-to-use Roc Loc Sport fit system.

Updated from the original Fixture, this second-generation model combines a refined shell profile with Giro's Integrated Mips Brain Protection System and enhanced airflow. It’s designed for kids and teenagers who want a reliable, comfortable helmet for road spins, neighborhood rides, and light off-road trails — all without a premium price tag. Quick-dry padding, reflective rear decals, and a durable fit mechanism make it practical for everyday use and growing riders.

How does the integrated Mips system improve safety?

The Fixture MIPS II features Giro's Integrated Mips slip plane built into the helmet's adjustable fit system to help manage rotational forces in angled impacts. This system is intended to complement the helmet's energy-absorbing foam without compromising comfort or fit.

• Integrated Mips slip plane reduces rotational acceleration during oblique impacts.
• Engineered to work with the Roc Loc Sport fit mechanism for consistent performance.
• Meets and exceeds applicable helmet safety standards for youth road helmets.

Will this helmet keep a young rider cool on long outings?

Yes — the Fixture MIPS II uses an in-mold construction that fuses the hard outer shell to the foam liner, which lowers weight and increases ventilation channels. Improved airflow and breathable, quick-dry padding help maintain comfort during longer rides or warm-weather use.

• In-mold shell design reduces overall weight for less neck strain.
• Strategically placed vents promote continuous air circulation.
• Quick-dry interior pads wick moisture to reduce heat buildup.

How easy is it to get a secure, comfortable fit?

Giro's Roc Loc Sport fit system provides a simple, one-handed adjustment with about 7 cm of range, so you can dial in a snug feel without removing the helmet. The mechanism clicks into place for reassurance, and it also accommodates ponytails for users with longer hair.

• One-handed adjustment lets caregivers or riders tighten quickly.
• 7 cm of fit range suits a wide span of head shapes within the size band.
• Ponytail-compatible design and comfortable strap routing for everyday wear.

What practical features support everyday riding and visibility?

Beyond protection and fit, the Fixture MIPS II adds reflective rear decals to boost visibility in low light and durable construction for frequent use. The helmet’s Universal Fit sizing aims to provide a reliable fit straight out of the box for most youth riders in the 50–57 cm range.

• Reflective details increase visibility when hit by headlights or urban lighting.
• Durable outer shell and reliable strap hardware for long service life.
• Universal Fit sculpting reduces the need to exchange sizes.

Who is this for? The Giro Fixture MIPS II is ideal for youth and teen riders seeking a dependable, well-ventilated helmet that balances advanced safety features with value. It suits parents who want Integrated Mips protection, easy fitting, and reflective elements for their child's commuting, park, or recreational rides — all in a light, attractive matte black/green finish sized for 50–57 cm heads.
