Go Time Gear Survival Bivy Tent - Ultralight Thermal Shelter 2-Pack, Orange with Reflective Lining & 120dB Whistle

Designed for hikers, campers, roadside emergency kits and preparedness packs, the Go Time Gear Survival Bivy Tent gives you a lightweight, weather-resistant option to help retain body heat and create a quick shelter. Each bivy uses thermal-reflective material and a weatherproof shell to block wind and moisture while packing down small enough to live in a backpack or vehicle survival kit.

How does this bivy protect against cold and wind?

The bivy uses reflective thermal lining combined with a windproof outer layer to help reduce heat loss and block drafts. It isn’t a replacement for layered clothing but does significantly slow heat escape and keeps you drier in wet conditions.

• Reflective interior preserves up to 90% of radiant body heat.
• Windproof and water-resistant outer material sheds light precipitation and gusts.
• Survival-grade seams and closure reduce thermal leakage.

How easy is it to deploy and carry on the trail?

Setup is fast and straightforward — drape between trees, anchor with rocks or stake to the ground when available. At just 8.7 ounces per unit and folding to a tiny footprint, the bivy is built for minimal pack weight and quick emergency use.

• Ultralight 8.7 oz weight keeps pack load low.
• Packs small to fit into pockets, pack pockets or vehicle glove boxes.
• Simple attachment points allow rapid shelter creation using cordage or natural anchors.

What extra survival features are included with each bivy?

Each unit includes practical integrated tools that increase its utility during an emergency. These additions help with signaling and secure closure when improvising shelter or managing gear in adverse conditions.

• Integrated 120-decibel whistle for audible signaling.
• 550 lb Para-Synch drawstring for secure closure or improvised cordage.
• Bright orange exterior improves daytime visibility for rescuers.

Can these bivies be used for everyday outdoor activities?

Yes. Beyond emergency use, they serve well as minimalist sleeping covers, extra insulation in a sleeping bag, or a quick windbreak during rest stops. They are practical for both short outings and as an insurance item on longer trips.

• Works as an emergency blanket, bivy cover, or temporary tarp.
• Compatible with standard backpacking and camping gear.
• Durable enough for repeated use in non-extreme conditions.
