GRAYL GeoPress Replacement Filter & Purifier Cartridge — Hi-Vis Orange, 350-press life, multi-layer protection

The GRAYL GeoPress Replacement Filter & Purifier Cartridge (Hi-Vis Orange) is a drop-in purifier cartridge designed to replace your GeoPress element and reduce pathogens, chemicals, microplastics, and unpleasant tastes for up to 350 presses.

The GeoPress replacement cartridge renews the core filtration of your GRAYL GeoPress water purifier bottle so you can continue turning uncertain water sources into drinkable water. Built for travel, outdoor use, and emergency preparedness, this cartridge snaps into the GeoPress purifier body and uses a combination of media to handle biological contaminants, volatile compounds, heavy metals, and particulates. It’s bright hi-vis orange so it’s easy to spot among gear.

How does this cartridge protect water when I’m away from treated supplies?

The cartridge combines mechanical filtration with activated carbon and other layers that capture and reduce a broad range of contaminants commonly found in natural and municipal waters. It’s engineered to work within the GeoPress one-press cycle so purification is quick and portable.

• Multi-layer media for trapping particulates and microplastics
• Activated carbon reduces chlorine, tastes, odors, and many organic chemicals
• Designed for a single press operation that fits the GeoPress bottle

What contaminants does the GeoPress cartridge address?

Independent laboratory testing verifies the cartridge reduces or captures a wide spectrum of biological and chemical threats typically found in unreliable water. While performance varies with source water quality, the cartridge is certified to meet established NSF protocols for certain contaminant classes.

• Reduction of bacteria, protozoan cysts, and viral particles under test protocols
• Adsorption of many chemicals, pesticides, and heavy metals via activated carbon
• Filtration of microplastics and suspended solids to improve clarity and taste

How long does one cartridge last and how should I store spares?

Each cartridge is rated for approximately 350 one-press cycles, which equates to about 65 gallons (250 liters) of treated water under typical conditions. Unused cartridges have an extended shelf life when kept dry and sealed, making them suitable for emergency kits and long-term storage.

• Rated life: 350 cycles (approx. 65 gal / 250 L)
• Unused shelf life: up to 10 years if stored properly
• Replace sooner if source water is heavily silty or contaminated

Is this replacement part compatible with my bottle and other accessories?

The cartridge is made specifically for the GRAYL GeoPress purifier bottle and is compatible with the GeoPress body and one-way valves. It does not include the outer bottle, valve, or additional accessories, so ensure those parts are present before purchasing a replacement cartridge.

• Compatible with GRAYL GeoPress purifier bottle
• Works with GeoPress one-way electrolyte and drink-mix valve (sold separately)
• Simple swap-in installation — no tools required
