Guyot Designs SplashGuard Universal wide-mouth silicone bottle insert — BPA-free, dishwasher-safe splash control

Guyot Designs SplashGuard Universal is a food-grade silicone insert that fits most wide-mouth reusable bottles to prevent splashing while you drink on the move.

Take your favorite wide-mouth water bottle—Nalgene, CamelBak, and many others—and turn it into a splash-resistant drink system without changing lids. The SplashGuard Universal slips into the bottle mouth to reduce spillback and gushing when you tilt the bottle to drink. Lightweight and made from BPA-free, food-safe silicone, it’s sized to work for both children and adults and is easy to clean and store.

How does the SplashGuard stop splashes when I drink?

The SplashGuard sits inside the bottle mouth and redirects the flow, breaking up the liquid stream so water doesn't surge forward or spill out unexpectedly. It helps control flow speed and reduces the chance of sudden splashes when tilting or walking.

• Engineered silicone channeling slows and smooths liquid flow
• Fits snugly in most wide-mouth openings to prevent gaps
• Works with common bottle brands like Nalgene and CamelBak
• Reduces splash while keeping a wide drinking aperture

Will this fit my wide-mouth bottle and how easy is it to install?

The SplashGuard Universal is designed for a broad range of wide-mouth bottles; its flexible silicone conforms to varying rim thicknesses and diameters. Installation takes seconds—press the insert into the bottle mouth until it seats securely. Removal is equally simple for cleaning or when you want an open mouth again.

• Flexible, adaptable sizing for most wide-mouth bottles
• Push-in installation — no tools needed
• Easy to remove for washing or replacement
• Compact for traveling or carrying as a spare

How do I keep the SplashGuard clean and safe?

Because it’s made from food-grade silicone and is BPA-free, the SplashGuard is safe for contact with drinking water and simple to maintain. Rinse under hot water, use mild soap, or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher. Inspect periodically for wear, and replace if you notice tearing or permanent deformation.

• Food-grade silicone material is dishwasher-safe
• Hand-washable with warm soapy water for quick cleaning
• Inspect for damage and replace when worn
• No special cleaners required

Does the SplashGuard change how my bottle seals or how I carry it?

The insert is intended only to control flow and does not replace a bottle cap or affect existing sealing mechanisms when the cap is used. When a screw-top or other lid is closed, the SplashGuard sits inside and adds no bulk; with the cap open, it reduces spills without interfering with lids that flip or screw. Keep the original cap on for leak-proof transport.

• Designed to work with existing caps and lids
• No added bulk that prevents capping the bottle
• Reduces spills when drinking but is not a leak-proof seal
• Compatible with flip, screw, and sport-style lids when open

Who is this for? The Guyot Designs SplashGuard Universal is ideal for people who use wide-mouth reusable bottles and want fewer spills while drinking—commuters, hikers, parents with kids, athletes, and anyone who prefers the convenience of a wide bottle opening without the splash. It’s a simple, affordable accessory for families and outdoor enthusiasts who want a tidier drinking experience without changing bottles or lids.
