Hydro Flask 946 ml (32 oz) Lightweight Trail Series Wide Flex Cap — Tourmaline, TempShield Insulated, 20% Lighter

The Hydro Flask 32 oz Lightweight Trail Series Wide Flex Cap in Tourmaline is a lighter stainless-steel hiking bottle built to keep drinks cold for up to 24 hours while shaving weight for backcountry use.

This Trail Series bottle rethinks big-capacity hydration for day hikes and multi-hour outings by combining TempShield double-wall vacuum insulation with a pared-back design that drops roughly 20% of the weight of other 32–40 oz Hydro Flask wide-mouth bottles. The result is a durable, odor-resistant container that accepts most backcountry water filters, uses a flexible perforated strap for easier carry, and seals leakproof when closed.

How does this bottle stay colder without extra bulk?

TempShield double-wall vacuum insulation reduces heat transfer, keeping cold drinks chilled for as long as 24 hours and hot liquids insulated up to 12 hours. The bottle uses stainless-steel construction and a narrow thermal gap rather than added insulating materials, which trims weight while preserving thermal performance.

• TempShield double-wall vacuum insulation for temperature control
• Stainless-steel body that resists dents yet stays light
• Designed to be 20% lighter than comparable wide-mouth 40 oz Hydro Flask bottles

Will it fit my water filter and carry systems?

The wide mouth accepts most common backcountry inline and gravity filters, making it practical for filter-refill stops. The flexible perforated strap and aluminum pivots reduce weight and make attachment to packs or belt loops straightforward, while the bottle profile works with many bottle pockets.

• Wide mouth compatible with most backcountry filters
• Flexible perforated strap plus aluminum pivots for lightweight carrying
• Bottle dimensions designed to fit standard pack pockets and cup holders

How durable and odor-resistant is the bottle for multi-day use?

Made from durable stainless steel with a protective finish, the Trail Series bottle resists chipping and won’t retain odors or flavors between uses. The wide-mouth interior is easy to clean thoroughly by hand or with a bottle brush, helping prevent residue build-up on extended trips.

• Durable stainless-steel construction resists impact and wear
• Interior resists flavor/odor retention for clean-tasting water
• Wide mouth simplifies cleaning and adding ice or supplements

Is the cap and seal practical for outdoor conditions?

The Wide Flex Cap combines a secure seal with a lightweight, flexible strap so the lid stays attached to the bottle during use. When closed, the cap is leakproof; the perforated strap and aluminum pivots reduce moving weight without sacrificing reliability on trails.

• Wide Flex Cap designed to lock closed and prevent leaks
• Perforated strap minimizes weight while keeping the cap tethered
• Aluminum pivots reduce hardware weight and improve durability

Who this bottle is for: outdoor enthusiasts who want substantial hydration without the weight penalty—hikers, daypackers, bikepackers, and commuters who prefer a wide-mouth bottle that accepts filters, stays cold a full day, and resists odors. If you need a robust, lighter-capacity wide-mouth bottle for backcountry travel or active urban use, this Hydro Flask Trail Series in Tourmaline balances thermal performance, durability, and reduced carry weight.
