iClimb Ultralight Compact Folding Chair — Low 7.5" Seat, Green, 862 g, Packs Small

iClimb Low Ultralight Compact Folding Chair (Green) is a featherweight, foldable 7.5-inch seat designed for backpacking and travel that packs small yet supports up to 264 lbs.

The iClimb low-profile folding chair blends aerospace-grade materials with a compact design to give hikers, campers and travelers a stable, breathable seat that tucks neatly into a pack. At just 1.9 pounds and with a packed size of 13.8 × 4.7 × 4.7 inches, it was engineered to reduce carried bulk without sacrificing the durability needed for repeated outdoor use.

How does this chair stay both ultralight and strong?

Strength comes from a 7075 aluminum frame paired with 900D ripstop Oxford fabric, engineered to balance weight and load capacity. Reinforced corner pockets and bartack stitching concentrate durability where the most stress occurs, letting the chair remain minimal without becoming fragile.

• Aerospace-grade 7075 aluminum frame for high strength-to-weight ratio
• 900D ripstop Oxford fabric resists tearing and abrasion
• Reinforced pole pockets and bartack stitching at stress points
• Rated to support 264 lbs (recommended 198 lbs for optimal comfort)

What makes setup and packing quick for trail use?

The chair uses a shock-corded frame with one separate leg pole that snaps into place, so no tools are needed for assembly. It folds down to a very small package size and includes a carry bag for fast storage or attaching to a pack during travel.

• Tool-free shock-cord frame assembly—simple snap-in leg pole
• Packs to 13.8 × 4.7 × 4.7 inches to fit most backpacks and luggage
• Included carry bag for easy transport and protection
• Step-by-step video guidance available to speed setup

Will it keep you comfortable during long sits or hot weather?

Comfort is addressed with mesh panels in the back and sides to promote airflow and reduce heat buildup. The low 7.5-inch seat height increases stability on uneven ground and keeps the overall weight and packed size smaller—note it’s a low-seated design, so consider mobility when choosing.

• Mesh back and side panels for ventilation and quicker drying
• 7.5-inch low-profile seat height for compactness and stability
• Anti-slip feet help maintain position on varied surfaces
• Side pocket for small items or a drink within reach

How should I use and care for this chair to extend its life?

Use the securing strap when the chair is fully assembled to keep the frame locked during use and avoid placing it on very uneven or sharp ground. For sandy conditions, place a mat or blanket underneath to keep particles out of the joints and rinse off salt or dirt before storing.

• Always fasten the securing strap after setup to stabilize the frame
• Deploy on flat, stable surfaces to reduce stress on poles
• Use a mat at the beach to keep sand out of joints and seams
• Rinse and dry before storage; store in included bag to protect fabric

Who this is for: The iClimb Low Ultralight Compact Folding Chair is ideal for ultralight backpackers, thru-hikers, motorcycle and bike tourers, overlanders, and festival or beachgoers who prioritize minimal pack weight and small packed size. It also fits travelers and photographers who need a quick seat on uneven terrain, provided they are comfortable with a lower seat height.
