Igloo Trailmate 32-Can Backpack Cooler Bone — MaxCold Ultra Insulation, Weather-Resistant 600D

Built for day hikes, beach trips, picnics, and tailgates, this Trailmate cooler backpack blends the portability of a pack with serious ice retention. The welded 600D coated polyester shell sheds dirt, sand, and light moisture, while the 20mm HDPE MaxCold Ultra foam lining slows warming so drinks and snacks stay chilled longer. Thoughtful details like a wide zippered opening, easy-open lid tab, and a roomy interior make loading and accessing supplies straightforward.

How well does the insulation hold cold during a day outdoors?

The Trailmate uses MaxCold Ultra 20mm HDPE foam to deliver extended cooling compared with thin soft-sided coolers. It isn't meant to replace a deep-freeze, but it maintains beverage and food chill for most day-long outings when pre-chilled ice or frozen packs are used.

• 20mm high-density polyethylene foam lining for thermal resistance
• Seam-welded interior helps reduce leak points and keeps cold in
• Works best with pre-frozen items or block ice for full-day cooling

What makes this backpack durable and travel-ready?

The exterior uses a coated 600D polyester fabric that stands up to rough surfaces, sand, and light rain, and the welded construction lowers wear at seams. Padded straps and a backpack form make hands-free transport simple, and the wide opening lets you pack bottles, cans, or food containers without wrestling with narrow access.

• 600D coated polyester exterior resists dirt, sand, and water
• Welded construction reduces seam stress and potential leaks
• Padded shoulder straps for comfortable carrying on trails or sidewalks
• Large zippered main compartment for easy packing and retrieval

How much can I fit and how easy is it to use on the move?

This Trailmate model fits up to 32 standard 12-ounce cans, giving you enough drinks and space for snacks for a small group. The wide top opening and webbing pull-tab let you grab items quickly, and the backpack design frees your hands for gear, kids, or a leash as you move between campsites or the car.

• 32-can capacity gives clear packing expectations
• Wide zipper and lid with pull-tab for fast access
• Backpack straps keep your hands free during travel

Who is this for? Outdoor enthusiasts who need a compact but capable cooler that’s easy to carry: day hikers, beachgoers, urban picnickers, tailgaters, and parents on playground runs. The Trailmate 32-Can Backpack Cooler is ideal when you want better cooling than a soft lunch bag without hauling a heavy hard-sided chest. If you frequently need multi-day chill performance or ice that lasts for days, consider pairing this pack with larger block ice or a powered cooler; for single-day outings and active transport, it offers a balanced mix of protection, insulation, and convenience.
