Innova Disc Golf Halo Star Leopard3 Fairway Driver — 160-164g, Controllable Turn & Extra Glide

The Innova Halo Star Leopard3 is a controllable fairway driver that delivers straight-to-turn flight for precise, finesse-driven shots.

The Halo Star Leopard3 combines a reliable Leopard3 flight profile with Innova's Halo Star plastic to create a durable, attractive disc that offers extra glide and an approachable turn. With flight numbers Speed 7, Glide 5, Turn -2, Fade 1, this driver sits squarely in the fairway driver category and works for a wide range of lines — from smooth, straight throws to purposeful turnover shots when you need controlled rightward turn (for right-hand backhand). The Halo Star construction gives each disc a two-tone rim and flight plate, increasing visual appeal while adding a touch more overstability compared with standard Star plastic.

How does the Leopard3’s flight feel in hand and on release?

The Leopard3 is known for a comfortable rim and predictable release, making it easy to shape shots. Out of the box it offers a measurable turn then a gentle finish fade, so you can throw it smooth for straighter lines or harder for increased right-turning distance.

• Speed 7 rim — manageable for most players learning fairway drivers
• Turn -2 — supports controlled turnover and hyzer-flip lines
• Fade 1 — mild finish to hold lines without aggressive hooking
• Good grip profile for repeatable releases and consistent accuracy

What does the Halo Star plastic add to performance and durability?

Halo Star plastic uses a two-tone injection that produces a distinct rim color and a slightly stiffer, longer-lasting disc. Compared with regular Star plastic, Halo Star typically increases the disc’s resistance to unwanted early fluting while adding a touch more overstability, which helps the Leopard3 hold its intended line in a wider range of conditions.

• Two-color aesthetic — easier to spot and visually distinctive
• Enhanced longevity — retains flight characteristics through more rounds
• Slightly more overstability than Star plastic — steadier finishes
• Colors will vary — each purchase may be a different attractive Halo pairing

Which shots and situations suit the Halo Star Leopard3 best?

This disc excels on controlled fairway drives where precision and predictable turnover are key. Use it for finesse distance, hyzer-flip approaches, and lines that require a reliable gentle turn before a soft finish.

• Controlled drives where placement beats raw distance
• Turnover shots and anhyzer approaches for shaping around obstacles
• Finesse distance on tight or technical holes
• Players refining fairway driver technique or needing a dependable understable option

Who is this for: The Innova Halo Star Leopard3 is ideal for intermediate players wanting a controllable fairway driver that can both hold straight lines and execute reliable turnover shots, as well as advanced players seeking a dependable disc for technical links and wooded courses. It’s also well suited for beginners ready to step up from putters and midranges to a driver with manageable speed and predictable handling.
