JRSGS Climbing Carabiner Clips are D-shaped, UIAA-rated locking carabiners made from 7075 aviation aluminum with a 25 kN major-axis strength for climbing, rescue, camping, hunting, and heavy-duty tethering.
This pair of locking carabiners combines industrial-grade strength with lightweight portability. Crafted from 7075 aviation aluminum and finished with an upgraded knurled locking nut, these clips are sized for one-handed use and designed to perform in technical outdoor activities such as rock climbing, rope rescue, tree climbing for hunting, hammock suspension, and carrying heavy loads like securing large dogs. They balance durability, secure closure, and ease of operation so you can move confidently on ropes and at height.
Each JRSGS locking carabiner meets UIAA-style strength expectations with a 25 kN (5,621 lb) major-axis rating and a 7 kN cross-load rating. The D-shaped body directs load toward the spine for improved strength under tension, and the threaded knurl nut provides a positive mechanical lock.
The design favors one-handed operation: a 0.67-inch gate opening and ergonomic D-shape let you clip ropes or gear while maintaining balance. The upgraded knurl nut increases friction so you can lock and unlock the screw with finger pressure, even when wearing thin gloves.
These carabiners are stamped from 7075 aviation-grade aluminum, chosen for its high strength-to-weight ratio. At 59 grams apiece, they add minimal weight to a harness or pack while offering industrial-level strength for demanding applications.
Routine visual and tactile checks will keep the carabiner functioning as intended. Look for deformation, cracks, corrosion, or damaged threads; clean grit from the screw mechanism and lubricate lightly if needed, and retire the carabiner if any structural damage is present.
Who is this for?
JRSGS locking carabiners are built for climbers, rescuers, arborists, hunters, hammock users, and outdoor professionals who need a dependable, lightweight connector rated for serious loads. They suit both recreational climbers seeking durable hardware and technical users who require UIAA-style strength and a reliable screw-lock mechanism for work at height or heavy tethering.
Q: Are these JRSGS carabiners UIAA certified?
A: They meet UIAA-style strength ratings (25 kN major axis). For certification details, check the JRSGS label and product documentation.
Q: Can I use these carabiners for dog tethering?
A: Yes—rated strength supports securing large adult dogs, but always inspect and use appropriate slings and anchors.
