Kryptonite Evolution Standard U-Lock — 14mm Hardened Steel Shackle, Double Deadbolt, 3 Keys

Kryptonite Evolution Standard is a high-security U-lock built with a 14mm hardened steel shackle, a patented double deadbolt, and three ergonomic keys to protect bikes and gear.

Engineered for everyday riders who want strong, reliable protection without fuss, this U-lock balances robust materials with practical transport options. The 14mm max-performance steel shackle resists common cutting and leverage attacks while the patented locking mechanism and disc-style cylinder add extra resistance to picking and drilling. It ships with three stainless-steel keys and a FlexFrame-U bracket for convenient mounting to most bike frames.

How secure is the Kryptonite Evolution Standard U-lock?

This U-lock combines a thick hardened steel shackle with a patented double deadbolt system for layered defense against physical attacks. The disc-style cylinder is designed to resist picking and drilling, making the cylinder and locking points harder targets for thieves.

• 14mm hardened max-performance steel shackle for cut and leverage resistance
• Patented hardened double deadbolt design for extra twist protection
• High-security disc-style cylinder engineered to resist picking and drilling

What fits inside the lock and how big is it?

The interior dimensions of the U-lock are approximately 4 inches by 9 inches, providing enough clearance for most bike frames, wheels, and a secure fixed object. That size works well for locking a bike to standard racks, poles, and secure anchor points without excess bulk.

• U-lock interior: 4 in. x 9 in., fits frame and wheel to many standard anchors
• Shackle thickness: 14mm for increased resistance to cutting tools
• Weight: about 3.50 lbs, balancing portability and protection

How easy is it to carry and use daily?

The Evolution Standard includes a FlexFrame-U bracket that mounts to most bike frames for tool-free transport, keeping the lock secure and accessible while riding. Three stainless steel keys with ergonomic grips make unlocking fast, and optional Anti-Theft Protection coverage adds extra peace of mind when registered.

• Includes FlexFrame-U bracket for quick frame mounting—no bag required
• Three stainless-steel ergonomic keys for reliable day-to-day use
• Eligible for Kryptonite’s Anti-Theft Protection Offer when registered
