Lopevex 1/2" Static Climbing Rope 45.7 m — 4082 kg Arborist Bull Rope, 48-Strand Polyester, Green

Lopevex 1/2 inch Static Climbing Rope (150 ft) is a heavy-duty, low-stretch arborist rope rated to 9,000 lbs designed for tree work, rigging, and controlled rappelling.

This 48-strand polyester braided rope combines industrial tensile strength with flexibility and weather resistance to meet the needs of arborists, riggers, and outdoor professionals. At 150 feet it balances reach and portability: long enough for most mid-range climbs, rigging lines, and hauling tasks while remaining manageable to coil and transport. The forestry-green sheath lets the line blend into natural surroundings for semi-permanent installs and low-visibility setups.

How strong and reliable is this rope for heavy-duty tree work?

The Lopevex rope is engineered with a static tensile strength of 9,000 pounds and a dense 48-strand braided construction that distributes load evenly across the core. Its static (low-stretch) behavior provides precise control during hauling and positioning, reducing bounce and shock-loading on anchors and gear.

• Rated tensile strength: 9,000 lbs suitable for rigging and pulling.
• 48-strand braid offers uniform load sharing and reduced core movement.
• Static design ensures minimal stretch for predictable rigging.

Will this rope handle outdoor exposure and abrasion?

The outer polyester sheath is formulated for resistance to UV, moisture, and surface wear, helping the rope maintain flexibility and surface integrity over repeated field use. While polyester resists rot and UV better than many fibers, regular inspection for fray or damage is still recommended when used on rough surfaces.

• Polyester sheath repels moisture and resists UV degradation.
• Abrasion-resistant braid reduces fraying from rough bark and hardware.
• Retains handling properties in wet or variable conditions.

Is 150 feet the right length, and how easy is it to handle?

A 150 ft coil strikes a practical compromise: it provides enough length for most tree ascents, mid-range zip lines, and rigging setups without the weight and bulk of longer reels. The rope’s flexibility supports straightforward knot tying and efficient coiling, making it faster to deploy and stow than heavier, stiffer alternatives.

• 150 ft gives ample reach for average tree heights and rigging spans.
• Flexible braid allows tidy coils and reliable knots.
• Lighter than 200 ft coils for easier transport and handling on-site.

What practical uses and precautions should I know before buying?

This rope is suitable for arborist rigging, tree pulling, cargo hauling, setting permanent or semi-permanent swings, and controlled rappelling where low stretch and high strength are required. It is not a dynamic climbing rope; choose equipment-rated dynamic lines for lead climbing or falls that require energy absorption. Always pair the rope with rated hardware, anchors, and proper backup systems.

• Common uses: tree felling rigging, bull rope for pulling, haul lines, and swing installation.
• Not intended as a replacement for certified dynamic ropes in fall-arrest systems.
• Inspect before each use and retire rope with significant abrasion or core damage.
