Maelstrom Hydration Hiking Backpack 20L with 2L Bladder — Lightweight, Insulated Sleeve, Helmet Storage

Maelstrom's Lightweight Hydration Hiking Backpack is a 20‑liter, multi‑pocket daypack with an included BPA‑free 2L water bladder, insulated sleeve, and high‑flow hose for hands‑free hydration on the trail.

This pack is built for active days outdoors where easy access to gear and reliable hydration matter. With a main compartment sized for spare clothes and first‑aid, several specialized pockets for sunglasses, tools and valuables, plus helmet storage and external tool access, the Maelstrom balances organization with a low two‑pound weight. The included bladder and push‑on bite valve offer quick water flow while the insulated compartment slows warming, and adjustable straps with breathable padding keep the load stable and comfortable.

How does the hydration system work when I'm moving?

The pack ships with a replaceable 2‑liter BPA‑free bladder that fits an insulated sleeve and connects to a bilateral hose outlet for flexible routing. A push‑on straw tip and bite valve limit leaks and let you control flow by gently biting the outlet, delivering a steady stream when you need it.

• 2L bladder installed, supports upgrade to 3L bladder
• Large bladder opening for fast filling and easy cleaning
• Push‑on straw tip plus bite valve to prevent accidental spills
• Insulated sleeve keeps liquid cooler for longer with ice packs

What pockets and storage options will fit my gear?

The Maelstrom features a thoughtful pocket layout so your essentials stay organized and reachable. The roomy main compartment handles layers and first‑aid, while front and upper pockets secure valuables and sunglasses; lower and side pockets offer quick access to frequently used items.

• Main 20L compartment fits clothing and emergency supplies
• Front pocket for phone, wallet and keys; upper pocket sized for sunglasses
• Lower pockets and dedicated outdoor tool pocket at the base
• Helmet storage located between outer and middle pockets for cycling or climbing

Will this pack stay comfortable and stable on long routes?

The bag is designed to be lightweight yet secure during dynamic activity. Padded 3D breathable back panels reduce sweat buildup while adjustable chest and waist straps let you tune the fit so the load remains centered and less likely to bounce.

• 3D breathable padded back for airflow and comfort
• Adjustable chest and waist straps for a customized, secure fit
• Light two‑pound construction minimizes fatigue on long outings
• Reflective strips improve low‑light visibility for added safety

How durable and safe is the pack's construction?

Materials and small safety features were selected for outdoor reliability. The bladder uses food‑grade materials, the fabric is high‑density polyester for abrasion resistance, and a built‑in whistle gives a quick signaling option when needed.

• 100% food‑grade bladder material, BPA‑free soft flask
• High‑density polyester fabric resists wear and tear
• Reflective strips for visibility; built‑in whistle for signaling
• Bladder replaceable and rated to accept up to 3L if you swap reservoirs
