Maelstrom Lightweight Hydration Hiking Backpack 20L with 2L Bladder — breathable back, reflective trim

Maelstrom's Lightweight Hydration Hiking Backpack is a 20‑liter daypack that includes a replaceable 2–3L leakproof water bladder, multiple pockets for organized storage, and breathable padded support for all‑day outdoor use.

This pack blends hydration convenience with organised carrying in a compact, weather‑aware design. Built for day hikes, cycling, festivals and snow sports, it balances lightweight construction with practical features: an insulated bladder sleeve, helmet storage, a whistle on the sternum strap and reflective trim for low‑light visibility. Every pocket and strap is arranged to keep essentials accessible without slinging weight across your shoulders.

How much water can the bladder hold and how is it maintained?

The included bladder ships sized at 2 liters with bilateral hose outlets and a large opening for easy filling and cleaning; the compartment accommodates bladders up to 3 liters. The hose features a push‑on straw tip to prevent leaks and a bite valve for quick, high‑flow sips. The bladder is BPA‑free and replaceable for long‑term use.

• Included bladder: 2 L; compatible with 3 L replacements
• Large opening for soap and ice; simplifies drying
• Bilateral hoses and push‑on tip reduce accidental leaks
• BPA‑free soft flask material for safe drinking

What storage organization does the 20L pack offer for a day outdoors?

The 20‑liter main compartment fits a lightweight jacket, snacks and a small first‑aid kit, while dedicated pockets keep items sorted. A front valuables pocket secures phones and wallets, an upper sunglasses pocket protects lenses, and lower pockets give quick access to maps or gloves. There’s also a concealed helmet sleeve and a bottom tool pocket for compact gear.

• Main compartment sized for clothing and emergency supplies
• Upper pocket lined for sunglasses or electronics
• Front zipped valuables pocket for secure items
• Bottom outdoor tool pocket plus helmet storage sleeve

How comfortable and stable is it on trail or while biking?

At roughly 2 pounds empty, the pack is designed to feel minimal while distributing load through adjustable chest and waist straps. The 3D breathable back panel reduces heat build‑up and the padded shoulder straps contour to the body for long‑haul comfort. A built‑in whistle and reflective strips add safety when you’re moving in low light.

• 3D padded breathable back for airflow and cushioning
• Adjustable chest and waist straps for secure fit
• Lightweight 100% polyester shell with reflective trim
• Integrated whistle on sternum strap for emergencies

Is the hydration delivery easy to use while active?

The hose is routed for quick access and uses a push‑on straw tip plus a bite valve so you can drink one‑handed without fumbling. To stop flow, push the tip on and release when thirsty; biting the valve opens a high‑flow channel. An insulated sleeve keeps drinks cooler longer when combined with ice packs.

• High‑flow bite valve for rapid sips while moving
• Push‑on tip design minimizes drips when stashed
• Insulated bladder pocket for prolonged cooling with ice
• Hose routing keeps mouthpiece within easy reach
