Mizuno Elite 9 SL2 Volleyball Kneepad — White Large, Low-Profile Breathable Protection

Mizuno Elite 9 SL2 volleyball kneepads are low-profile, vented performance pads that deliver broad lateral and medial protection with minimal bulk.

Built for players who dive, slide, and play all match long, the Elite 9 SL2 combines a slim silhouette with wide-area shock-absorbing foam and breathable fabrics to keep knees protected without trapping heat. The design focuses coverage on the front and sides of the knee while curving seams and rear air mesh reduce bunching behind the joint for comfort in play and practice.

How do these kneepads stay comfortable during long matches?

The SL2 uses a mix of polyester, rayon, nylon, and elastic to balance stretch, durability, and moisture control. Air mesh at the back helps vent heat, and the slightly curved seams prevent excess material from gathering behind the knee for a smooth fit when bending and landing.

• Breathable air-mesh panel behind the knee for airflow.
• Elastic blend for stretch and secure hold without tightness.
• Curved upper and lower back seams reduce bulk and chafing.

What level of protection does the padding provide?

The Elite 9 SL2 features shock-absorbing cushioning pads engineered to spread impact across a broader surface, reducing pressure on any single point. The low-profile pad keeps protection high while preserving range of motion for quick reactions on the court.

• Flat, wide-impact foam for dispersing blows and slides.
• Low-profile thickness that maintains coverage without hindering movement.
• Large lateral and medial coverage zones for sweeping protection.

How should I care for these kneepads to keep them performing?

To preserve fit and lifespan, rinse or machine wash on a gentle cycle and air dry; avoid high-heat drying which can damage elastic and foam. Regular cleaning prevents odor build-up and maintains fabric wicking over time.

• Machine wash gentle or hand wash in cool water.
• Air dry flat—do not tumble dry on high heat.
• Wash after heavy use to keep padding resilient and fabric breathable.

What makes the fit different from bulkier kneepads?

The SL2 prioritizes a streamlined shape with slightly curved seams and an elastic construction that hugs the knee without excess material. This approach minimizes hindrance when players bend or sprint, while still covering the front and sides sufficiently for dives and low saves.

• Slim silhouette for reduced interference during movement.
• Wide yet low-profile pad placement for comprehensive coverage.
• Elastic fabric mix to keep the pad centered during motion.
