Mizuno RB 566 Golf Balls Optic Yellow — Soft Feel, High Trajectory Dozen

The Mizuno 2024 RB 566 in Optic Yellow is a softer-feel, high-trajectory golf ball engineered for extended hang time and dependable greenside control.

The RB 566 refines its predecessor by pairing a softer, higher-energy core with a micro/D-dimple surface pattern and an ionomer cover. The result is a ball that launches high, stays aloft longer through the apex of flight, and gives a pleasant touch around the green while remaining durable across rounds. Its bright optic yellow finish improves visibility from tee to green.

How does the RB 566 feel different from past Mizuno balls?

Design changes focus on a softer overall sensation without sacrificing energy transfer. A reformulated soft-but-high-energy core cushions impact while still returning ball speed, delivering a more comfortable feel on full shots and better feedback on short strokes.

• Softer core chemistry for a gentler impact sensation
• High-energy formulation to preserve ball speed
• Balanced feel on both long and short shots

What creates the RB 566’s longer hang time?

The RB 566 uses a micro and D-dimple configuration that manipulates airflow to sustain lift after the apex. That dimple blend is tuned to be especially effective at mid- to low-speed flight regimes common with approach shots and club selections that slow the ball more quickly.

• Micro + D-dimples to reduce drag and maintain lift
• Optimized pattern for stability through descent
• Improved carry consistency on mid-range shots

How does the cover perform around the green and over time?

The ionomer cover balances the need for greenside feel with year-round durability. It offers predictable spin and feel on chips and pitches while resisting scuffs and cuts that can occur during normal play.

• Ionomer shell for consistent short-game touch
• Durable finish holds up across multiple rounds
• Maintains visible optic yellow color under typical conditions

What comes in the package and what playing profile suits this ball?

Each purchase includes one dozen RB 566 golf balls in optic yellow, ready for practice rounds or tournament play. The ball is best suited to players seeking a softer feel, elevated trajectory, and reliable greenside performance without sacrificing durability.

• 1 dozen balls per pack in high-visibility optic yellow
• Engineered for higher launch and controlled spin
• Good match for players prioritizing feel and all-around playability

Who is this for: The Mizuno RB 566 is ideal for golfers who want a noticeably softer-feeling ball that still performs across full shots and short-game situations. It suits mid- to high-handicap players looking to add hang time and a forgiving touch around the greens, as well as lower-handicap players seeking a softer alternative for better feel on delicate shots.
