Osprey Hydraulics 3L Hydration Reservoir — 3L Leak-Resistant Bladder with High-Flow Bite Valve

Osprey Hydraulics 3L is a leak-resistant, high-capacity hydration reservoir built for easy filling, stable carry, and fast drinking on the move.

Designed for hikers, cyclists, backpackers and commuters who need dependable on-pack hydration, this 3-liter reservoir combines a wide, user-friendly opening with a rigid support plate and a high-flow bite valve. The unit is BPA-free, fits most hydration-ready Osprey packs and integrates with the HydraClip or similar hose systems. Small design details — a central baffle to limit slosh, a magnetic hose keeper, and a thumb-operated valve shutoff — make daily use simpler and more reliable than a basic bladder.

How does the reservoir stay clean and easy to fill?

The Hydraulics reservoir opens via a wide slide-seal top that allows hands-on access for filling, adding ice, and thorough cleaning. The seal locks tightly to reduce the chance of leaks while you carry it. Because the opening is generous, you can reach inside with a sponge or brush and rinse without wrestling the bag.

• Slide-seal top opens wide for simple filling and cleaning
• Leak-resistant closure secures during transport
• Generous mouth accommodates ice and cleaning tools

Will it stay stable and fit comfortably inside my pack?

Yes — a lightweight internal backer plate gives the reservoir structure so it slides into a hydration sleeve without folding or collapsing. A central baffle keeps the water centered and minimizes sloshing as you move. The slim profile preserves pack space and helps the reservoir maintain a low, balanced load.

• Rigid backer plate prevents bag collapse
• Central baffle reduces slosh and preserves shape
• Streamlined dimensions fit most hydration sleeves cleanly

How easy is it to drink from while active, and how do I prevent spills?

The included high-flow bite valve provides strong water delivery with minimal effort, ideal for intense activity or quick sips on the trail. A thumb-operated on/off switch lets you lock the valve to avoid accidental leaks when not in use. The magnetic hose attachment keeps the mouthpiece secure and within easy reach so you can sip without interrupting your pace.

• High-flow bite valve for fast, effortless drinking
• Thumb-operated on/off lever prevents accidental spills
• Magnetic hose clip keeps the mouthpiece accessible and tidy

Is this reservoir compatible with my gear and what are its measurements?
