Pro Venture Waterproof Hammock Rain Fly 12x9 ft Hex — Lightweight Ripstop Nylon, Fast Setup

Pro Venture's 12ft x 9ft waterproof hammock rain fly is a lightweight, hex-shaped ripstop nylon tarp that delivers broad coverage and fast setup for reliable shelter over hammocks or small group campsites.

Whether you're hammock camping, backpacking light, or need a compact emergency shelter, this Pro Venture rain fly balances durable weather protection with packable convenience. Made from PU 3000 Diamond Ripstop Nylon, the tarp sheds heavy rain, resists tears and punctures, and folds down to a small waterproof stuff sack you can sling into your pack or clip to your belt.

How much protection does the 12x9 hex design provide?

The asymmetrical hex shape gives extra lateral coverage compared with rectangular tarps, helping block driving rain and wind while leaving space for airflow. Six reinforced grommets and tie-down loops allow secure tensioning to maintain a taut rain-shedding surface in variable conditions.

• Full span: 12 feet long and 9 feet wide footprint when pitched.
• Six anchor points: reinforced grommets and tie loops for stable rigging.
• PU 3000 Diamond Ripstop: high water resistance and tear prevention.

How quickly and easily can I set it up in the field?

Setup is straightforward and tool-free, built for fast deployment by one person or two. The kit includes six 3-meter guy lines with adjustable tensioners and four lightweight aluminium stakes so you can pitch it in minutes and fine-tune tension for a tight, weather-shedding profile.

• All accessories included: guy lines, tensioners, stakes, and stuff sack.
• Simple anchor system: use trees, poles, or stakes for multiple rigging options.
• Quick pack-down: collapses to a 10x5x5 inch waterproof sack for easy stowage.

Is this tarp truly backpacker-friendly and durable?

Yes—at just 1.8 lbs in its packed sack, the Pro Venture rain fly is tailored to ultralight and weekend trips while still using robust materials. Diamond ripstop nylon resists snags and small tears, and the PU coating increases water beading and longevity, making it a dependable multi-season cover.

• Weight: 1.8 pounds including accessories for minimal carry burden.
• Packed size: compact 10 x 5 x 5 inches fits most daypacks and hip belts.
• Material: PU 3000 coated ripstop for tear and puncture resistance.
