RDX Boxing Chest Guard Reversible Brown/Black X-Large — 47mm Multi-Layer Padding, Maya Hide Durable Sparring Protector

This RDX Boxing Chest Guard is built for contact training where protection, fit, and toughness matter. It pairs a thick, layered foam core with a rugged Maya Hide outer that resists wear and flexes with movement. The reversible brown/black design helps teams or training partners tell each other apart, while quick hook-and-loop fastenings and elasticated shoulder straps make it faster to put on and keep secure during drills.

How does the 47mm padding protect me during sparring?

The 47mm thickness uses stacked foam layers to spread impact over a wider area, lowering localized force on ribs and the upper belly. The ribbed shaping follows your torso, helping the guard stay aligned during twists or clinches. It doesn’t eliminate force but reduces peak impact to let you train harder and longer.

• 47mm multi-layer foam core for impact dispersion
• Ribbed contouring for better body alignment
• Even force distribution across the chest and upper ribs

Will the reversible design be useful for team training?

Yes. The two-sided brown and black finish flips in seconds so coaches can assign visible teams without extra gear. Reversibility also extends the useful life of the guard by alternating wear between sides. It’s a simple, practical way to add variety and clarity to partner drills or group sparring.

• Two distinct colors on one protector for quick team identification
• Switch sides to reduce one-side wear
• Convenient for mixed-level classes and drills

What makes Maya Hide a good outer material?

Maya Hide is engineered to mimic natural leather toughness while standing up to repeated strikes and abrasions. It resists tearing, maintains shape under stress, and is easy to wipe clean after sessions. That durability helps the chest guard keep its protective performance over time, even with heavy use.

• Tear- and abrasion-resistant outer shell
• Maintains form through repeated impacts
• Low-maintenance cleaning and care

How does the fit and fastening system work under movement?

Elasticated shoulder straps and an efficient Quick-EZ hook-and-loop closure aim to balance a secure fit with freedom of motion. The straps stretch and re-seat as you pivot, while the wrap closure holds the guard in place without complex adjustments. That combination keeps the protector aligned through punches, knees, and clinch work.

• Elastic shoulder straps for adaptive fit
• Quick-EZ hook-and-loop for fast on/off
• Contoured shape to reduce slippage during movement

Who is this for? It fits athletes looking for a fast-fitting, reversible pad with substantial foam thickness and a rugged outer shell—especially useful for sparring-heavy sessions, technical partner drills, and conditioning work where repeated impacts occur.
