Retrospec Dakota Adult Multi-Sport Helmet — Large Matte Forest, 10 Vents & Removable Pads

Retrospec Dakota is a multi-sport adult helmet that combines a tough ABS shell, shock‑absorbing EPS foam, and ten vents for protective, well‑ventilated rides. The Dakota helmet is built to be your go‑to head protection for commuting, skate parks, scooter runs, or casual longboarding. Lightweight yet robust, its construction balances impact resistance and comfort: an abrasion‑resistant outer shell backed by EPS energy‑absorbing foam, plus removable moisture‑wicking pads to keep you cool and dry. The model shown is the Large in matte forest and fits most adult heads in the 57–60 cm range with adjustable straps and included interchangeable pads for a tailored fit.

How does the Dakota protect me during a fall?

Protection comes from a dual‑layer approach: a hard ABS outer shell disperses surface forces while internal EPS foam attenuates impact energy. The shape covers key areas commonly struck in falls, and the retention system keeps the helmet positioned correctly throughout an impact.

• Durable ABS outer shell reduces puncture and abrasion risk
• EPS foam lining absorbs and dissipates impact energy
• Helmet geometry covers forehead, temple, and rear head areas
• Adjustable straps keep the helmet stable under load

Will it stay comfortable on longer rides or intense sessions?

Yes — comfort was prioritized through ventilation and padding choices. Ten intake and exhaust vents produce continuous airflow for temperature regulation, while removable, washable pads wick sweat and let you fine‑tune thickness for a snug, pressure‑free fit.

• Ten vents provide 360° airflow to reduce overheating
• Moisture‑wicking, removable interior pads for hygiene
• Two pad thickness options included to customize fit
• Lightweight design reduces neck strain on long rides

Is the Dakota suitable for multiple sports and daily commuting?

Designed as a multi‑sport helmet, the Dakota meets the needs of cyclists, skateboarders, scooter riders, and longboarders seeking a single reliable helmet. Its combination of coverage, durability, and comfort features makes it practical for daily urban use and repeated sessions at the skate park.

• Versatile fit and protection for bike, skate, scooter, and BMX use
• Robust shell and foam for repeated impact resistance
• Simple maintenance with washable liners for daily riders
• Available in sizes S, M, and L to fit most adult heads

How do I get the right size and adjust the fit?

Measure your head circumference at the widest point above the eyebrows to choose the correct size: Small (51–54 cm), Medium (54–57 cm), Large (57–60 cm). Once on, use the side buckles and rear adjustment to tighten the fit so the helmet sits level and does not rock.

• Measure at the forehead level for accurate sizing
• Trim and position straps into a comfortable, secure triangle
• Swap inner pads to increase or decrease pressure points
• Helmet should sit low on the forehead without obstructing vision

Who is this for? The Retrospec Dakota in Large — Matte Forest is aimed at adult commuters and action‑sport enthusiasts who want one dependable helmet for cycling, skateboarding, scootering, and casual BMX. It suits riders who prioritize a durable shell, effective impact management, and active ventilation, while appreciating removable liners that simplify cleaning and fit adjustments. If you need a versatile, everyday protective helmet that balances coverage and breathability, the Dakota is designed to meet those needs without extra bulk.
