Roller Derby FireStar Youth Girl's Roller Skates — Midnight Prism Size 4, Padded Support & 54mm Urethane Wheels

Roller Derby FireStar Youth Girl's Roller Skate in Midnight Prism is a padded, supportive quad skate built for young beginners who want smooth, stable rolling and easy on/off fit.

These FireStar skates combine a cushioned sport-style boot, secure strap-and-lace closure, and a lightweight frame to help a child learn and enjoy skating with confidence. The design balances comfort and control: a padded collar prevents rubbing, the power strap keeps the foot set firmly in the boot, and quality urethane wheels with reliable bearings deliver predictable movement on indoor and outdoor surfaces.

How will these skates help my child learn balance and control?

The FireStar’s quad platform and torsion beam chassis give a broad, steady base that helps beginners feel stable while they practice stopping and turning. The boot’s supportive shape plus the power strap reduce internal slip so little feet track with the skate.

• Wide four-wheel stance for natural balance
• Power strap and laces minimize heel lift
• Padded collar lessens ankle discomfort during practice

What performance features make rolling smooth?

These skates use 54mm urethane wheels paired with 608Z Excellerator bearings to provide a quiet, consistent roll across typical skate surfaces. The wheel size balances acceleration and maneuverability, making it easier for kids to pick up speed and maintain momentum.

• 54mm urethane wheels for predictable grip and roll
• 608Z bearings for reduced friction and longer wear
• Lightweight torsion beam frame aids responsive turning

How does sizing and closure work for growing feet?

FireStar skates are labeled in regular U.S. children's shoe sizes so you can match them to your child’s normal sneaker size. The lace-up sport boot combined with an adjustable power strap provides a snug fit while allowing quick on-and-off for busy days at the rink or park.

• Marked in standard U.S. kids’ shoe sizes for easy selection
• Lace closure customizes tension across the foot
• Power strap locks the ankle area for added security

Can these skates be used both indoors and outdoors?

Yes—54mm urethane wheels and a firm chassis make the FireStar versatile enough for smooth indoor surfaces and well-kept outdoor pathways. For rough pavement or mixed terrain, consider upgrading to larger or softer wheels, but these skates handle playgrounds and rinks well.

• Suitable for indoor rinks and clean outdoor paths
• Urethane wheels balance grip and durability
• Chassis designed for everyday recreational use
