SecuCaptain Emergency Fire Blanket 2-Pack 47.2" x 47.2" — Large Flame-Retardant, Heat-Resistant Pull Tabs

SecuCaptain emergency fire blanket 2-pack are large, flame-retardant woven fiberglass blankets designed to smother small fires and provide a heat shield for quick household or outdoor protection.

These oversized 47.2" x 47.2" blankets come as a pair and fold into compact pouches with heat-resistant pull tabs for fast deployment. Built from two layers of flame-retardant fiberglass plus an inner fire-retardant film, they resist very high temperatures and comply with CE safety guidance (EN 1869:2019). Lightweight and reusable, they offer an alternative to chemical extinguishers for grease, fabric, or small open-flame incidents and also double as a protective surface beneath grills or stoves.

How do these blankets stop household fires quickly?

To extinguish a small blaze, pull the heat-resistant tabs to release the blanket, then slowly cover the flames to cut off oxygen. The dense fiberglass fabric and inner film isolate the heat source and help prevent re-ignition while insulating from high temperatures.

• Two-layer woven fiberglass plus fire-retardant inner film for effective smothering
• Rated to withstand temperatures up to 1076°F (580°C)
• Large 47.2" x 47.2" size fits most adults and common household fires
• Easy pull-tab design lets anyone deploy it without special training

What makes the SecuCaptain tabs safer than standard designs?

SecuCaptain uses high-temperature treated fire-retardant tabs that stay cool to the touch compared with plain nylon pulls. That treatment keeps the tabs usable near heat, allowing you to deploy the blanket without burning your hands.

• Special high-temp treatment reduces heat conduction through the tabs
• Faster, safer deployment in close-proximity incidents like stove fires
• Designed for repeated use without melting or disintegrating

Where can I use these blankets besides the kitchen?

They’re versatile for indoor and outdoor scenarios: place one under a barbecue while camping to prevent grass fires, keep one by fireplaces or fire pits, store one in a vehicle survival kit, or keep one near workshop equipment. Their lightweight, no-mess nature makes them convenient to carry and position wherever fire risk exists.

• Home kitchens, garages, fireplaces, and workshops
• Outdoor grilling, camping, and tailgating for ground protection
• Vehicle glove box or trunk as part of an emergency kit
• Office or communal cooking areas for quick-response coverage

How do I use and care for a fire blanket safely?

Pull the tabs to unfold the blanket, gently cover the burning item without fanning, switch off any heat source when safe, and allow the blanket to cool before removing. The blankets do not expire; inspect for damage and replace if the fabric is torn or compromised.

• Deploy by pulling tabs and placing blanket over flames slowly
• Turn off electricity, gas, or other fuel sources if possible
• Lift only after the temperature has dropped to avoid re-ignition
• Store folded in its pouch; replace if fabric shows wear or holes
