Shock Doctor Max Airflow Lip Guard is a breathable, one-size-fits-most football mouthguard that combines reinforced impact protection with a wide breathing channel and an easy no-mold fit for youth and adults.

Built to perform across football, lacrosse, and hockey, the Max Airflow 2.0 Lip Guard pairs a durable outer frame with flexible polymers and integrated bite pads so you can breathe easier without sacrificing protection. It arrives LATEX FREE and BPA FREE, includes a helmet strap, and is offered in multiple colors and graphics so athletes can match gear to team style. The mouthpiece also supports use with braces and comes backed by Shock Doctor's $10,000 dental warranty.

How does the Max Airflow improve breathing during play?

The mouthguard's central channel is widened and tuned to reduce airflow resistance, letting athletes inhale more efficiently during high-exertion moments. The updated internal platform keeps teeth aligned away from the airway, preventing partial blockages that restrict air intake.

• Large breathing channel delivers roughly 10% greater airflow capacity.
• Raised internal platform prevents teeth from blocking air passages.
• Open design compatible with helmet integration and quick recovery breaths.

What level of impact protection does this lip guard provide?

The outer frame is reinforced to manage high-impact forces while the inner flexible polymers absorb shock and stabilize the jaw. The combination of a stronger shell and soft bite pads creates a balance between protection and comfort without the need for custom molding.

• Reinforced outer frame disperses force across the guard.
• High-impact polymer core cushions teeth and soft tissues.
• Integral bite pads help stabilize the jaw during contact.

Can players with braces use this mouthguard safely and comfortably?

Yes — the Max Airflow was designed to accommodate braces by offering a roomy channel and flexible materials that sit comfortably around orthodontic hardware. Its open throat and platform reduce interference with brackets while maintaining protective coverage.

• Braces-compatible breathing channel reduces airflow obstruction.
• Flexible polymers adapt around brackets and wires.
• No special trimming or molding required for most orthodontic setups.

How does fit and convenience work for youth and adult players?

The Max Airflow comes in an OSFA (one size fits all) design intended to fit most youth and adult mouths with an easy, no-mold fit. A helmet strap secures the guard when not in use and keeps it accessible during play.

• No-boil no-mold fit simplifies pre-game prep.
• Included strap attaches to most helmet snaps for on-field access.
• Available in multiple colors and graphics to match team kits.

Who is this for? The Max Airflow Lip Guard is aimed at players who need reliable, easy-to-use protection that won't limit breathing — from youth athletes learning the game to adult competitors who demand breathability and impact resistance. It's a practical choice for anyone who wants a ready-to-wear mouthpiece that fits with braces, pairs with a helmet, and comes in eye-catching styles, backed by a comprehensive dental warranty for added confidence.
