Stansport Heavy-Duty Camp Grill Large 36x18 in – Fold-Flat Steel Mesh, Holds 54.4 kg

The Stansport Heavy-Duty Camp Grill (Large) is a fold-flat, 36 x 18 inch steel-mesh cooking grate built to support heavy cookware over an open fire for camping, hunting, and backyard cookouts.

Rugged and straightforward, this large Stansport camp grill gives you a stable, even-heating surface for pots, pans, griddles, and Dutch ovens without taking up much room beside your fire. Constructed from heavy steel mesh with positive locking leg hinges, it folds flat for transport and supports substantial weight, making it a practical addition to weekend trips and extended outdoor adventures.

How durable is this camp grill for heavy cookware?

The grill is engineered from heavy-gauge steel mesh and reinforced legs so it reliably bears substantial loads next to an open flame. Positive locking leg hinges lock the legs in place to maintain stability under weight. Rust-resistant finish and simple steel construction mean low-maintenance durability in outdoor conditions.

• Holds up to 120 pounds of cookware
• 36 x 18 inch mesh surface fits multiple pots and pans
• Positive locking hinges keep legs secure under load
• Heavy steel mesh tolerates direct fire use

What kinds of cooking setups work on this grate?

This grill is versatile enough for stovetop-style pots, cast-iron skillets, griddles, kettles, and Dutch ovens. The even mesh spreads heat across cookware while leaving open gaps for flame contact where needed. It’s equally useful for quick coffee over coals or for multi-pot camp dinners.

• Fits Dutch ovens, fry pans, coffee pots, and griddles
• Mesh pattern provides even heat distribution
• Compact footprint suits both small and larger campfires

How portable and easy to maintain is the grill?

The design prioritizes transport and storage: the legs fold flat so the entire unit packs compactly into a vehicle or gear pile. Cleaning requires only a scraper or brush to remove soot and food debris from the steel mesh, and routine wiping prevents buildup. Its straightforward metal construction avoids delicate parts that can fail in the outdoors.

• Folds flat for compact storage and transport
• Simple steel mesh cleans easily with a brush or scraper
• No tools required to set up or fold down

What size firepit or campsite works best with this grill?

The 36 x 18 inch footprint needs a medium-sized campfire area or a safe, level ground beside a fire ring. It’s compact enough to fit close to a standard fire ring yet large enough to support multiple cooking vessels simultaneously. Use on stable, heat-resistant surfaces and follow local fire safety rules.

• Best for medium to large campfires or dedicated fire rings
• Leaves room around fire for safe access and ventilation
• Works well at campsites, hunting camps, fishing trips, and backyards

It’s ideal for campers, hunters, anglers, and backyard hosts who use cast-iron cookware or multiple pots over open flames and value durable, no-frills gear that’s easy to set up and maintain.
