Tethrd SABR Convertible Limb Saw — Folding SK5 Hunting Saw with Pole Conversion, 3 Adjustable Angles, 11" Packable

The Tethrd SABR Convertible Limb Saw is a compact folding hunting saw that converts into a safe, lightweight pole saw to clear shooting lanes and remove obstructing branches without climbing.

Built for whitetail hunters who need a fast, reliable way to manage limbs from the ground or treestand, the SABR combines a premium SK5 steel blade, an innovative limb-lock conversion system, and three adjustable blade angles in a compact package. It folds to just 11 inches for easy packing and attaches to your kit with an integrated RAD System for MOLLE compatibility. The tool is engineered to handle routine branch trimming, stubborn crotches, and reach-limited cuts while staying durable in wet, cold, and rough field conditions.

How does the SABR convert from a folding saw to a pole saw?

The transition is fast and tool-free: attach the included stainless-steel Limb Locks to a nearby cut branch to create a secure extension point, then lock the SABR into place to use it as a pole saw. This keeps you on the ground or safely seated in a stand while gaining reach. The system is designed to work with branches ¾" to 1¾" in diameter.

• Includes two stainless steel Limb Locks for secure pole attachment.
• Fits branch diameters from ¾" to 1¾" for versatile field use.
• Quick lock/unlock action so you can convert in under a minute.

What makes the blade and cutting geometry effective for hunters?

The 8.25-inch SK5 blade is hardened and profiled for aggressive bite and long-lasting edge retention, giving fast cuts through green and dead wood. Its curved tooth layout reduces binding and requires less back-and-forth effort compared with straight-toothed saws, letting you clear a lane quickly.

• Premium Korean SK5 steel for durable sharpness and tough wear resistance.
• Curved aggressive tooth pattern for faster, smoother cuts.
• Blade length balances cutting capacity with packable portability.

How does the SABR handle in the stand and in bad weather?

The rubber overmold grip provides a secure, comfortable hold even when wet or cold, and the three selectable blade angles let you position the saw for better leverage, tighter reaches, or safer cutting from a seated position. The folding mechanism locks solidly so it won’t flop during use.

• Textured rubber handle for non-slip control in rain or frost.
• Three adjustable blade angles for awkward cuts and confined spaces.
• Sturdy folding lock to prevent accidental closure during sawing.

What size and weight should I expect in my pack?

The SABR folds to an 11" length and weighs 14 ounces, making it light and compact enough to stow in a hunting pack or mount on MOLLE webbing. Despite the small footprint, it’s constructed to endure repeated field use without excessive bulk.

• Folded dimensions: 11" L × 2.5" H × 2.25" W for easy packing.
• Weight: 14 oz (0.896 lb) for minimal carry burden.
• RAD System allows fast attachment to MOLLE-compatible gear.

Who is this for: The Tethrd SABR is designed for serious deer hunters, treestand users, and backcountry hunters who need a dependable, convertible cutting tool that stays compact in a pack yet extends reach safely. If you clear shooting lanes, manage saplings and branches around stands, or prefer to work from the ground without climbing, this saw offers a durable, award-winning solution built to handle seasons of heavy use.
