This cup is sized and formed to nest with military canteens and is constructed to withstand direct heat from camp stoves and open flames. Its simple geometry and robust handle prioritize utility and survivability over decorative features.

How do I use the canteen cup for cooking and boiling water?

Place the cup on a flame, alcohol stove, or small camp stove to heat liquids or reconstitute meals. The handle folds or pivots for safe handling, and the wide opening speeds pouring and cleaning.

• Use directly over low-to-moderate flames to avoid warping
• Boil water for sterilization or prepare freeze-dried meals
• Rinse and wipe dry after use to maintain finish and longevity

Will this cup fit my canteen and pack efficiently?

Yes — the cup is dimensioned to accept standard US military canteens and nests inside or around them depending on the system. That nesting reduces bulk and keeps your hydration and cooking gear consolidated.

• Compatible with standard 1-quart USGI metal and plastic canteens
• Compact nesting reduces pack volume for backpacking or ruck marches
• Lightweight compared with multi-piece cook sets of similar capacity

How do I care for this stainless steel canteen cup to maximize life?

Maintenance is straightforward: clean after use, avoid harsh abrasives, and store dry. Periodic inspection for deep dents or deformation will ensure safe, predictable heating and carrying.

• Hand-wash with warm soapy water; avoid chlorine cleaners
• Dry thoroughly to prevent water spots; polish if desired
• Do not use in microwave ovens; designed for open-flame and stovetop use
