VOTATU VRD501 2 MOA Red Dot Sight — Low-Profile Co-Witness, Motion-Awake Auto On/Off

The VOTATU VRD501 is a lightweight 2 MOA red dot sight with auto on/off motion wake, low‑profile co‑witness mount, anti‑reflection coatings, and flip‑up covers for fast, reliable aiming.

Built for shooters who need a compact, durable optic that snaps onto a rail and stays ready, the VRD501 balances close‑quarters speed with pinpointing control. Its hard‑coat anodized aluminum housing reduces glare and wear, while multi‑coated glass improves clarity and contrast. Adjustable windage and elevation plus ten brightness levels give usable flexibility across daylight and low‑light conditions.

How does the auto off and motion awake feature improve readiness?

The VRD501 conserves battery life by shutting the dot off after periods of inactivity and instantly reactivating when motion is detected, so the sight is typically ready the moment the rifle moves. This removes the need for manual power cycling during transitions or downtime. The feature supports quick engagement without wasting battery capacity.

• Automatically powers down during inactivity to extend battery life.
• Motion sensor instantly wakes the LED when the platform is moved.
• Reduces need for manual on/off handling under stress.

How precise is the 2 MOA dot for different shooting tasks?

A 2 MOA reticle offers a compact aiming point that’s fast to pick up at close ranges yet fine enough for accurate shots at longer distances when paired with a steady rest. Ten brightness settings let you match dot intensity to ambient light so the reticle remains crisp, not bloomed. Parallax‑free design and unlimited eye relief keep the dot aligned across head positions.

• 2 MOA dot for quick acquisition and precise holdovers.
• Ten illumination levels for daylight to dusk adjustments.
• Parallax‑free with unlimited eye relief for consistent point of aim.

What mounting options and sight relationships does the VRD501 support?

The VRD501 ships with a low, skeletonized absolute co‑witness mount and an offset skeletonized mount to position the sight forward for use with a magnifier. Both mounts are designed to be lightweight without sacrificing stability so you can co‑witness with iron sights or pair with a magnifier for variable magnification setups. Quick detachment and reattachment retain zero when mounted properly.

• Includes low absolute co‑witness mount for standard iron sight alignment.
• Offset mount moves optic forward to pair with magnifiers.
• Skeletonized design reduces weight while maintaining rigidity.

How durable and clear is the sighting window in the field?

The housing uses hard‑coat anodization that provides a matte, low‑glare finish and protects against wear and abrasion in rough conditions. Multi‑layer anti‑reflective coatings on all air‑to‑glass surfaces increase light transmission and contrast so the dot and target remain visible. Flip‑up lens covers protect the glass when the optic is not in use.

• Hard‑coat anodized body for low reflection and enhanced durability.
• Multi‑coated lenses for better light transmission and clarity.
• Flip‑up covers shield lenses from dust, debris, and scratches.

Who is this for: The VOTATU VRD501 is well suited for shooters seeking a compact red dot for ARs, carbines, pistols with rails, or airsoft and training rifles. It fits users who want rapid target acquisition with precise aiming, those who pair red dots with magnifiers or iron sights, and anyone who values a motion‑activated optic that conserves battery without sacrificing readiness.
