yamato Forged Full-Face Golf Wedge — 60° Stainless Steel, Aggressive Grooves, Forgiveness

These are Yamato forged stainless-steel wedges with aggressive full-face grooves and a range of lofts (50–60°) built to give golfers more spin, consistent distance and forgiveness around the green.

Engineered for short-game precision, the Yamato Full Face Wedge collection replaces traditional segmented groove patterns with continuous, deep milling across the entire clubface. Each wedge is forged from stainless steel for a solid feel and consistent feedback, and the set covers gap, sand and lob needs so you can select one club or build a matched set that eliminates distance gaps. The design emphasizes bite on the ball, forgiveness on off-center strikes, and durable construction for regular play.

How do the full-face grooves change spin and control?

Full-face milling increases groove contact area, so even toe or heel strikes engage textured surfaces that help generate spin. That means tighter stopping power on approach shots and more predictable ball behavior from tight lies and rough. The grooves are intentionally aggressive to maximize friction without relying on conventionally narrow groove zones.

• Full-face aggressive grooves for more consistent spin across the face
• Improved bite on the ball from tight lies and short grass
• More predictable stopping on green-side pitches and chips

Will these wedges reduce digging and help mishits?

Yamato wedges feature a leading-edge geometry tuned to resist digging and promote cleaner turf interaction. That profile helps players avoid fat shots by glancing through the turf instead of burying the head. Forged construction also preserves feel, so you still sense contact quality while benefiting from added forgiveness.

• Leading-edge shape designed to prevent excessive dig
• Consistent turf interaction for fewer fat shots
• Forged stainless-steel body that balances durability with tactile feedback

Which lofts should I choose and how does distance control improve?

The range — 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, and 60° — covers gap, sand and lob needs so you can close yardage intervals and manage trajectories precisely. Using stepped lofts gives you predictable carry and stopping distances, while the groove pattern promotes repeatable spin rates shot after shot. Choose lofts based on your typical approaches and wedge distances to build a set that minimizes overlaps and gaps.

• 50°–54° ideal for gap and approach shots
• 56°–58° tuned for bunker play and higher pitches
• 60° designed for lofted flop and delicate shots around the green

What materials and specs affect feel and longevity?

These wedges are forged from stainless steel for a solid, responsive feel and long wear resistance. The milling process creates sharp groove edges that maintain bite while the overall finish reduces rust and surface wear. Standard right-handed configuration and regular shaft flex suit a broad range of recreational and mid-handicap players.

• Forged stainless-steel construction for durability and consistent feedback
• Precision milled face for long-lasting groove performance
• Available in right-hand, regular-flex shaft configuration

Who is this for?
