What does 3/2 mm mean on a Lemorecn wetsuit?

The two numbers are neoprene thicknesses. The first, 3 mm, is the torso panel, where warmth matters most; the second, 2 mm, is used in the arms and legs so they bend easily for paddling and swimming. A 3 mm suit uses the same thickness throughout, trading a little flexibility for slightly more warmth in the limbs.

Is a 3/2 mm wetsuit warm enough for the UK?

For summer and early autumn sessions, when sea temperatures around much of the UK are in the mid-teens °C, a 3/2 mm full suit suits most people. In spring, late autumn and winter, water is colder and a 4/3 or 5/4 mm suit with boots, gloves and a hood is the usual choice. Feeling the cold easily or staying in for long sessions are reasons to go thicker.

Should I choose a back-zip or front-zip wetsuit?

Back-zip suits have a long zip down the spine with a pull cord, so they are the easiest to get in and out of, which helps beginners. Front-zip or chest-zip suits have a shorter opening across the chest, so less water flushes in at the back and the suit flexes more across the shoulders, but they take a little more effort to put on.

What are neoprene wetsuit trousers used for?

Wetsuit trousers and shorts keep your legs and core warm when they are likely to get wet but your upper body needs to move freely, such as stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing or wading while snorkelling. Pair them with a rash vest or neoprene top. The 3 mm versions are warmer; the 1.5 mm trousers are lighter for summer and indoor pools.
