Tourit

Tourit specialises in soft coolers you can carry or wheel. The range covers 30-can and 38-can insulated cooler backpacks with one or two compartments, collapsible 32-litre soft-sided cool bags, and 30-litre rolling coolers and backpacks with telescopic handles and all-terrain wheels. They suit picnics, beach days, festivals, fishing trips and packed lunches for a family day out.

Choose the carry style first: a backpack keeps your hands free on a long walk to the beach, wheels are easier with a heavy load on paved paths, and a tote is simplest for the car. Can capacity assumes the bag is filled with cans alone, so leave room for ice packs or frozen bottles alongside the drinks. Chill the bag and its contents the night before, fill the empty gaps, park it in the shade and keep the zip closed between visits. Retention figures such as 16 hours are measured in set conditions, so a hot car boot will shorten them.

Tourit: frequently asked questions

How long does a Tourit cooler keep things cold?

Tourit quotes figures such as 12 hours for its soft cool bags, 16 hours for many backpacks and rolling coolers, and longer for its deep-freeze rolling model. Real results depend on the outside temperature, how much ice you use and how often you open the lid. Pre-chilling the bag and keeping it in the shade make the biggest difference.

How many cans fit with ice in a 30-can cooler backpack?

Can ratings usually describe the bag filled with cans only. With ice packs or frozen bottles, expect roughly two-thirds of that figure, so a 30-can backpack holds about 20 cans plus enough ice to keep them cold. Food takes up more space than cans, so for a family picnic a 38-can backpack or 32-litre bag gives more room.

Are Tourit cool bags leakproof?

Tourit lines its cool bags with leakproof or leak-resistant materials such as EVA or PEVA, so melting ice stays inside. The zip is the weakest point, so keep the bag upright, close it fully and drain meltwater at the end of the day. Wipe and air-dry the lining after each trip to stop smells building up.

Can I fold a Tourit cooler away?

Yes, the soft-sided cool bags and several rolling coolers are collapsible and fold flat when empty, saving space in a car boot or cupboard. Backpack coolers keep their shape but are light enough to hang on a hook. Make sure the lining is completely dry before folding it away for storage.
