BIRIA kids bicycle front basket — small removable wire-mesh, purple, hook-on with carry handle

The BIRIA small front wire-mesh kids’ bicycle basket is a removable, hook-on carrier that fits children’s handlebars and holds toys, snacks, and small essentials.

Designed specifically for youth bicycles, this compact basket combines a durable plastic-coated wire weave with an easy swing-up handle and two hooks that attach to handlebars. It’s built to be lightweight yet sturdy, giving kids a safe spot for their belongings while making mounting and removal simple for parents. The model shown in purple (also available in other bright colors) brings playful style without sacrificing practical measurements and reliable construction.

How big is this kids’ bike basket and will it fit my child’s handlebars?

This is a deliberately small front basket made for kids’ bikes. Its external dimensions are 10.5" long × 7" wide × 6.5" high, and the hooks are spaced 3 1/8" (8 cm) apart to match narrow barreled handlebars commonly found on children’s bicycles.

• Dimensions: 10.5" (L) × 7" (W) × 6.5" (H)
• Hook spacing: 3 1/8" / 8 cm between attachment hooks
• Designed for smaller handlebar diameters on kids’ bikes

How does this basket attach and detach from the bike?

Attachment uses two metal hooks that slip over the top of the handlebar and hold the basket in place. A swing-up handle on the basket allows for easy lifting off the hooks so a parent or child can carry belongings off the bike without fuss.

• Hook-on mounting for quick installation
• Swing-up carry handle for removal and transport
• No tools required to attach or remove

What is the construction like and will it stand up to regular kid use?

The basket is woven from plastic-coated wire for a balance of rigidity and weather resistance. That coating helps prevent rust and keeps the edges smooth so small hands won’t get scratched; the woven pattern supports small items like a water bottle, plush toys, or a snack box.

• Plastic-coated wire mesh for durability and smoother edges
• Compact shape that resists deformation under normal loads
• Lightweight design to avoid changing bike handling for small riders

What color and style options are available for this BIRIA basket?

While the product is shown in purple, BIRIA offers these kids’ baskets in several bright shades to match boys’ and girls’ bikes or to add a cheerful accent. Some variations include fun emoji decals so children can personalize their ride.

• Available in multiple bright colors, including purple
• Some models come with playful decals for personalization
• Matte plastic-coated finish helps hide scuffs from play

Who is this for: This small, removable wire-mesh basket is aimed at families with toddlers and young children who ride bikes with narrow handlebars. It suits parents who want a simple, tool-free accessory for carrying lightweight items and kids who want a colorful, easy-to-use storage spot on their bike. If you need a larger cargo solution or a basket for an adult-width handlebar, consider a bigger model, but for preschool and early-elementary bicycles, this BIRIA basket is a practical match.
