DEKABR Heavy Duty Alloy Steel Auto-Locking Carabiners, Large Gold 5-Pack — 45 kN Twist-Lock, Keylock Nose

DEKABR's heavy-duty alloy steel carabiner is a large, auto-locking 45kN twist-lock connector built for climbing, rescue, and rigging tasks where a dependable, one-handed locking gate is required.

Engineered for serious outdoor use, this five-pack of gold DEKABR carabiners combines a D-shaped body, keylock nose, and a dual-direction automatic twist-locking gate to deliver secure connections without fumbling. Constructed from cold-formed, heat-treated alloy steel and forged for strength, each carabiner is sized for easier handling and rated with high axial and lateral capacities for a range of rope and hardware configurations.

How does the auto-locking twist gate improve safety and speed?

The twist-lock gate closes and locks automatically when released, minimizing the chance of accidental openings. Its dual-direction mechanism allows one-handed operation so you can clip or unclip while keeping a hand free for balance or other gear.

• Automatic twist-locking action secures the gate after you release it
• Dual-direction design accepts quick, single-handed connections
• Keylock nose reduces snagging on webbing and anchors
• Large gate opening (0.94") for easier rope and device loading

What strength ratings and materials support demanding use?

Each carabiner is forged from alloy steel, heat-treated, and cold-formed to achieve high structural strength. The long axis strength is rated to 45 kN, with lateral and open-gate capacities specified to handle various load orientations encountered in climbing and rescue setups.

• 45 kN long-axis rating (approx. 10,000 lbs)
• Up to 16 kN lateral load capacity for side loading scenarios
• Forged steel construction for consistent strength and fatigue resistance
• Oxidation-treated, painted finish for corrosion resistance

How is the shape and size useful for climbers and riggers?

The D-shaped profile directs the main load onto the spine of the carabiner where strength is greatest, and the keylock profile prevents catches on harnesses or anchors. At roughly 4.49 inches tall and weighing about 9.8 ounces, these are large, grippable carabiners suited to gloved hands and multi-component systems.

• D-shaped body concentrates load along the strong spine
• Keylock nose reduces accidental snagging during transitions
• Large, easy-to-handle dimensions fit gloves and multiple devices
• Lightweight for its class—designed to reduce carry burden

Can these carabiners handle outdoor wear and different environments?

Surface treatment and durable materials improve resistance to corrosion and abrasion so the carabiners remain serviceable in wet or dirty conditions. While robust, routine inspection and maintenance are still recommended after heavy exposure to salt, mud, or impact.

• Oxidation and eco-friendly paint finish for weather resistance
• Smooth surfaces to limit wear on webbing and reduce scratches
• Suitable for repeated use in outdoor climbing, tree work, and rescue drills
• Sold in a five-pack for redundancy and multi-person kits

Who this is for: The DEKABR 45 kN auto-locking carabiner set is aimed at climbers, riggers, arborists, search-and-rescue teams, and outdoor professionals who need a large, strong connector that locks automatically. It's also a practical choice for instructors and teams who want identical hardware across multiple users. If you require robust alloy steel connectors with a user-friendly twist-lock gate and clear strength ratings for demanding rope and pulley systems, this five-pack meets those practical needs while offering corrosion-treated surfaces for extended field use.
