Easton Z5 2.0 Senior Batting Helmet Matte Red — NOCSAE Approved, BioDri Comfort

Easton Z5 2.0 Senior Batting Helmet in matte red is a high-impact ABS shell helmet with dual-density foam and a BioDri liner engineered for protection, comfort, and sweat control at the plate.

Built as an update to Easton’s Z5 line, the Z5 2.0 combines a tough thermoplastic outer shell with layered interior padding to manage shock and keep players comfortable during long games. This senior-size helmet fits head circumferences corresponding to 7 1/8"–7 1/2" and includes wrapped ear pads, a removable forehead sticker for team customization, and NOCSAE approval for sanctioned play. The matte red finish and refreshed styling modernize the look while keeping the helmet focused on safety and wearability.

How does the Z5 2.0 protect against impact?

The helmet uses a high-impact ABS thermoplastic shell that disperses force from contact and reduces localized stress. Inside, the dual-density foam liner cushions blows and helps limit transmitted acceleration to the head.

• ABS outer shell engineered for impact resistance and shell integrity
• Dual-density foam liner that balances comfort with shock absorption
• Wrapped ear pads reduce edge wear and improve side protection

Will this helmet stay comfortable and dry during long innings?

Yes — the Z5 2.0 uses a BioDri inner liner designed to wick moisture away from skin so sweat evaporates faster. The padding arrangement keeps pressure distributed evenly for fewer hot spots over extended use.

• BioDri moisture-managing inner liner helps keep players cooler
• Dual-layer padding reduces pressure points for sustained comfort
• Wrapped ear pads increase comfort where the helmet contacts the head

Does the helmet meet league safety standards and allow team customization?

The helmet is NOCSAE approved for play at regulated levels, so it meets governing-body impact performance criteria. For team branding, the forehead area includes a removable sticker that lets you apply logos or replace worn decals.

• NOCSAE-approved design for sanctioned play
• Removable forehead sticker for team logos or personalization
• Available in multiple sizes including junior, senior, and XL to match roster needs

How should I choose the right size and maintain this helmet?

Select the senior size if your head measurement falls between the listed 7 1/8" and 7 1/2" range; measure around the largest part of the head for accuracy. To keep the helmet performing, wipe down the BioDri liner after use, air-dry rather than machine-dry, and replace stickers or worn padding as needed.

• Measure head circumference across the brow for correct fit
• Clean with mild soap and water; air dry to protect padding and liner materials
• Inspect shell and liner before each season for cracks or compression
