EvoShield XVT 2.0 Matte Batting Helmet with Facemask - Royal, S/M | SEI Certified, Dual-Density Padding

The EvoShield XVT™ 2.0 Matte Batting Helmet with Facemask is a low-profile, SEI-certified batting helmet built to combine advanced dual-density comfort padding with targeted ventilation and a reversible two-flap design for both sides of the plate.

Designed for hitters who want a blend of protection, fit, and breathability, the XVT 2.0 refines EvoShield’s helmet platform with compression-molded interior pads, a matte finish option, and a facemask-ready shell. The helmet meets NOCSAE standards via SEI certification and includes a new sizing system, so checking the head-circumference chart before ordering is important to get the correct fit.

How does the XVT 2.0 protect against high-and-tight pitches?

The XVT 2.0 uses strategically placed dual-density padding to disperse impact forces while maintaining a comfortable, snug fit. Compression-molded pads reduce slippage and help the helmet stay aligned on contact, and the SEI certification confirms it meets accepted NOCSAE protection requirements.

• Dual-density internal padding placed for maximum coverage
• Compression-molded construction to resist deformation on impact
• SEI certified to NOCSAE standards for validated protection

Will this helmet stay cool during long innings?

Yes — the XVT 2.0 includes a top-plate venting system and vents along the shell to encourage airflow without compromising the helmet’s integrity. The low-profile shell reduces trapped space, helping sweat evaporate faster and keeping the batter more comfortable in high-pressure moments.

• Engineered top plate vents for consistent air circulation
• Low-profile shell minimizes internal heat buildup
• Fully wrapped ear pads that wick and remain breathable

How do I choose the right size and wear it properly?

Sizing for the XVT 2.0 is determined by fitted hat circumference; measure just above the ears. EvoShield changed the sizing for this model, so always consult the provided size chart—S/M fits 6 1/2" to 7 1/8"—and try the helmet on to confirm a secure, non-shifting fit.

• Measure head circumference above the ears for accurate sizing
• S/M fits approximately 6 1/2" to 7 1/8" (reference size chart)
• Helmet features two ear flaps; reversible for either batting side

Can I use the XVT 2.0 with a facemask, and what finishes are available?

The shell is facemask-ready and built to accept EvoShield facemask attachments for added facial protection. The XVT 2.0 is offered in matte and high-gloss finishes; the matte Royal option provides a subdued look while maintaining durable surface protection.

• Facemask-compatible shell for accessory attachment
• Available in matte and high-gloss premium finishes
• Fully wrapped ear pads help integrate facemask hardware cleanly
