GEAR AID Revivex UV Protectant & Conditioner Spray 500 ml — Restores Plasticizers, Protects Vinyl/Neoprene from Sun Damage

GEAR AID Revivex UV Protectant and Conditioner Spray is a multipurpose spray that restores plasticizers, brightens color, and shields outdoor gear made of plastic, vinyl, neoprene, rubber, and fiberglass from sun damage.

Sunlight and weather slowly break down outdoor equipment, causing stiffness, fading, and cracks in materials from kayak hulls to tent rainflies. This 16.9 fl oz Revivex formula was developed to replenish lost plasticizing agents and form a protective layer against ultraviolet deterioration. It’s suitable for a wide range of items—tents, boat covers, waders, boots, and more—helping extend service life and maintain appearance with regular maintenance.

How does this spray protect different materials from sun damage?

The spray combines conditioners that replace lost plasticizers with UV-absorbing components that slow polymer breakdown. Rather than just masking fading, it helps restore flexibility and retards future cracking by preserving the material’s structure. Application creates a surface layer that reduces direct photo-degradation while improving color vibrancy.

• Replenishes plasticizers in vinyl, rubber, and neoprene for restored softness.
• Adds UV-stable ingredients that reduce sunlight-induced breakdown.
• Improves color saturation on faded surfaces without leaving a greasy residue.

What items can I safely treat with Revivex UV Protectant?

Use this spray on a broad selection of outdoor gear made from plastic, vinyl, neoprene, rubber, fiberglass, and many coated fabrics. It’s formulated to be safe for hard hulls, inflatable bladders, sewn fabrics, and molded rubber components when used as directed. Avoid using on untreated porous textiles or surfaces where added slipperiness could be hazardous.

• Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards (hard and inflatable).
• Tent rainflies, awnings, boat covers, and tarps.
• Waders, wetsuits, rubber boots, float tubes, and inflatable gear.

How do I apply the spray for best results and how often?

Clean the surface of dirt, salt, and mildew before applying for even coverage. Hold the can a few inches away and spray uniformly; wipe or rub lightly if needed to work the product into seams and textured areas. Reapply seasonally or after heavy sun exposure—frequent reapplications increase long-term protection.

• Wipe down and dry gear before treatment for optimal adhesion.
• Spray evenly from 6–8 inches away and spread with a cloth where necessary.
• Reapply every few months or after prolonged UV exposure for sustained protection.

Will the product affect grip, seams, or seams’ waterproofing?

Revivex UV Protectant is formulated to condition without significantly reducing grip when used sparingly. When applied per instructions it won’t harm sealed seams or factory coatings; however, allow time to dry completely before storing or using items where traction is critical. Test a small, inconspicuous area if you’re unsure about surface response.

• Dry thoroughly to avoid temporary slipperiness on textured surfaces.
• Safe for most factory seam sealants when used as directed.
• Spot-test on a hidden area for sensitive or specialty finishes.

Who is this for? Outdoor enthusiasts, guides, boat owners, and gear caretakers who want to protect and revive life in equipment exposed to sun and salt will find this spray useful. It’s designed for people who prefer maintenance over replacement—those who repair and preserve tents, kayaks, boots, waders, and covers. If you store gear outdoors, use inflatable watercraft, or depend on rubber and vinyl equipment for recreation or work, this product helps keep items usable and looking better longer.
