Schutt F7 AiR Youth Football Helmet Virginia Tech 5-Star — Youth Size, Inflatable Air Liner & Lightweight

The Schutt F7 AiR Youth football helmet delivers Virginia Tech 5-star-rated impact performance in a featherlight, youth-sized shell with adjustable inflatable comfort and helmet stabilization features.

The F7 AiR Youth brings Schutt’s pro-inspired F7 architecture to younger players, balancing top-rated safety lab results with materials and fit systems designed for smaller heads. Built to exceed NOCSAE youth standards, this model prioritizes a low weight, a precise fit, and reliable parts like a carbon-steel facemask and HSS jaw pads. If you want a helmet that mirrors elite performance without the bulk, this is engineered for that goal.

How does the F7 AiR Youth protect smaller players without extra weight?

Schutt reduced mass while preserving rated impact performance through targeted shell geometry and advanced liners. The design directs energy away from critical contact zones and the lightweight components keep fatigue down during long practices and games.

• Virginia Tech 5-star-rated performance in a youth-sized shell
• Engineered shell geometry to disperse impact forces
• Lightweight construction minimizes neck strain during play

What fit and comfort features help get a secure, consistent fit?

The helmet includes an Inflatable Air Liner to fine-tune internal volume and comfort quickly, plus Helmet Stabilization System (HSS) jaw pads for improved side-to-side control. These adjustable elements allow a snug, repeatable fit from practice to game day.

• Inflatable Air Liner for on-the-spot fit adjustments
• HSS jaw pads stabilize the helmet on the jawline and cheeks
• Pre-attached carbon-steel facemask for immediate use

Which components make this helmet game-ready out of the box?

No assembly is required—the F7 AiR Youth ships with a secured carbon-steel facemask and integrated comfort systems so it’s ready for fitting and play right away. Durable materials and factory set hardware reduce setup time for coaches and parents.

• Attached carbon-steel facemask—the sport’s most used facemask material
• Factory-installed liners and pads for consistent initial fit
• Hardware and decals pre-mounted to save time at outfitting

How does this helmet compare to other youth options on protection and performance?

The F7 AiR Youth aligns with higher-end youth helmets by combining lab-rated impact performance with features typically found in adult models—such as advanced liner systems and stabilization pads—while keeping weight low. It’s intended for teams and families wanting pro-level design in a youth-specific package.

• Virginia Tech 5-star rating places it among top-performing youth models
• Pro-derived features adapted to youth fit and weight needs
• Designed for youth-level play while meeting/exceeding NOCSAE youth standards
