TYR Blackops 140 EV Racing Goggles Junior Fit — Blue Mirrored Lenses, Low-Profile 140° View

TYR Blackops 140 EV Racing Goggles Junior Fit are low-profile, mirrored race goggles designed to give young competitive swimmers a close, hydrodynamic fit with wide peripheral vision and reliable anti-fog protection.

Built for junior athletes age 16 and up, these TYR goggles combine a streamlined frame, Durafit silicone gaskets, and polycarbonate mirrored lenses that block UVA/UVB rays. The design minimizes drag in the water while offering a broad 140-degree field of view so swimmers can maintain situational awareness during starts, turns, and open-water training. Four removable nose-bridge options and an adjustable strap help tune the fit for both male and female faces without adding bulk.

How do these goggles reduce drag and stay comfortable during races?

The Blackops 140 EV features a low-profile silhouette that hugs the face, keeping water turbulence down and allowing a sleeker stroke. Lightweight materials and the soft Durafit silicone gaskets create a secure seal without pinching, so comfort is preserved through long practices and multi-event meets.

• Low-profile frame reduces frontal area and drag.
• Durafit silicone gaskets conform to facial contours for comfort.
• Lightweight construction prevents fatigue from bulky gear.
• Four nose-bridge sizes let you fine-tune the seal and angle.

What visual protection and clarity do the mirrored lenses provide?

Polycarbonate mirrored lenses offer impact resistance plus full UVA/UVB protection to shield eyes during outdoor training and competitions. An anti-fog coating is applied to maintain clear vision, and the mirrored finish helps cut glare under bright pool lights or sunlight.

• Polycarbonate lens material for durability and safety.
• Mirrored finish reduces glare from sun and bright lights.
• Anti-fog coating improves visibility through long sessions.
• Full UVA/UVB protection for outdoor use.

How adaptable is the fit for different junior swimmers?

These goggles include four removable nose-bridge sizes so you can customize the distance between lenses for narrower or wider faces. The adjustable silicone strap and flexible skirt work together to secure the goggles in place whether the swimmer prefers a snug race fit or a slightly looser training fit.

• Four nose-bridge inserts for tailored interocular spacing.
• Adjustable silicone strap for quick size changes.
• Durafit skirt conforms to both male and female facial shapes.
• Recommended for ages 16 and older with junior facial proportions.

Are these goggles durable enough for regular training and competition?

Yes — the Blackops 140 EV uses durable polycarbonate lenses and resilient silicone components designed for frequent pool or open-water use. Proper care, like rinsing after chlorinated or salty water and storing in a protective case, prolongs the anti-fog coating and keeps the gaskets pliable.

• Polycarbonate resists scratches and impacts.
• Durafit silicone withstands repeated stretching and compression.
• Mirrored lens finish is robust but benefits from careful storage.
• Replaceable nose bridges extend the product’s usable life.
