WILSON Evolution Indoor Basketball Size 6 (28.5") - Navy, Soft Touch & Cushioned Core

Designed for gym floors and game situations, the Evolution combines a cushion core with an advanced microfiber composite cover to deliver the soft feel and predictable handling that coaches and players expect. NFHS-approved for high school indoor competition, this navy size 6 ball blends durability with a tactile surface that helps ball-handling, shooting, and passing feel more natural under game pressure.

Why do players prefer the Evolution for indoor games?

Players choose this model because the construction prioritizes feel and consistency over flashy extras. The cushion core softens impact and makes rim plays easier, while the laid-in channels and pebbled composite texture create a predictable touch across the whole ball.

• Cushion Core for a softer, responsive feel
• Microfiber composite leather for long-lasting grip
• Laid-in channels and pebbled surface for consistent handling
• NFHS approval ensures it meets high school competition standards

How does the Evolution improve ball control in practice and games?

The Evolution’s surface texture and channel design increase friction between the fingers and the ball, reducing slips on drives and passes. That control translates to more confident dribbling, tighter passing lanes, and steadier shooting mechanics in high-intensity situations.

• Evenly pebbled cover for reliable finger contact
• Defined channels for tactile guidance during handling
• Soft touch reduces wrist and fingertip strain during extended play

Is this ball intended for indoor use only, and what court surfaces is it best on?

Yes — this Evolution ball is engineered specifically for indoor gym floors such as hardwood and synthetic sports surfaces. Outdoor courts, rough concrete, or asphalt will accelerate wear on the microfiber composite, so reserve this ball for indoor practices and matches to preserve performance and longevity.

• Optimized for hardwood and indoor synthetic courts
• Not recommended for outdoor or abrasive surfaces
• Proper storage and indoor-only use extend the ball’s lifespan

What maintenance helps keep the ball game-ready?

Routine care is straightforward: wipe the ball with a damp cloth after use, avoid harsh cleaners, and keep it inflated to the recommended pressure. Proper inflation maintains bounce consistency and reduces stress on the cushion core and cover material.

• Clean with a soft damp cloth; do not submerge
• Check inflation regularly to manufacturer pressure specs
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
