YETI Hopper M20 Backpack Soft Cooler — Rescue Red, 20L MagShield Access & ColdCell Insulation

The YETI Hopper M20 Backpack is a rugged, soft-sided cooler backpack in Rescue Red that uses MagShield magnets, ColdCell insulation, and a DryHide shell to keep food and drinks cold and protected on outdoor trips.

Compact yet built for tough conditions, the YETI Hopper M20 Backpack blends high-performance insulation with packable convenience. Designed for day hikes, beach runs, and quick fishing or hunting jaunts, this 20-liter soft cooler balances low weight with the company’s known durability. Weather-resistant materials and purpose-driven details help protect contents from punctures, sun damage, and accidental spills while making the bag comfortable to carry.

How does the MagShield access make loading and sealing easier?

MagShield access uses strategically placed magnets to hold the cooler open when you’re loading gear and to create a reliable seal when closed. The system minimizes fumbling at camp or on the trail and helps reduce leaks compared with simple zipper-only flaps.

• Magnet-assisted opening stays propped for one-handed loading
• Quick push-to-seal action for fast closure
• Reduced risk of accidental spills during transport

What keeps items cold inside the M20 Backpack?

ColdCell closed-cell foam insulation lines the Hopper M20 to slow heat transfer and extend ice life without adding bulky weight. Combined with a tightly sealing lid and insulated interior, the cooler maintains lower temperatures for hours during day trips.

• Closed-cell foam insulation for efficient cold retention
• Compact 20-liter capacity balances weight and storage
• Interior designed for easy access to beverages and perishables

Is the exterior durable enough for rough outdoor use?

The outer shell uses DryHide fabric engineered to resist abrasions, punctures, and UV fading so the backpack stands up to rocks, branches, and sun exposure. Reinforced seams and robust hardware add to the pack’s longevity, making it a practical choice for repeated outdoor use.

• High-density DryHide fabric resists punctures and UV damage
• Reinforced stitching and durable webbing attachment points
• HitchPoint grid for modular accessories like SideKick cases

What carrying and attachment features help on the trail?

Designed with an ergonomic backpack profile, the Hopper M20 distributes weight for day-long comfort and leaves your hands free. The HitchPoint grid provides multiple mounting points for YETI accessories so you can customize the pack for your adventure.

• Padded shoulder straps and back panel for comfortable carry
• HitchPoint grid to attach SideKick Dry Gear Case and multitools
• Top carry handle and low-profile design for easy stowing
